#黑色星期五的前一天是感恩節
最近黑色星期五廣告打很兇，
這個黑色星期五不是13號的星期五，
是美國感恩節後一天商人推的瘋狂特價日。
也許，慢慢大家對感恩節日期的說法會從11月第四個星期四，演變成"黑色星期五"的前一天。😂😂
感恩節吃火雞?(too much!) 改雞腿排也ok啦！

這個人很特別。
陳耀昌，台大醫院醫師、名譽教授，台灣骨髓移植、幹細胞研究先行者，創立台大法醫所。但是，他更鍾情於歷史寫作。
去年，他在雜誌發表《請訂立台灣感恩節》，開頭就寫：
「假如我是立法委員，我會推出這樣的一個提案。
提案：訂立「台灣感恩節」，日期訂為每年5月的第2個星期六（即現行母親節的前1天）。
說明：台灣是移民社會，已是不可逆轉之事實，因此「原漢關係的重要性，決不亞於兩岸關係」。台灣經過400年的不可承受之輕與不可承受之重，大多數的家庭，都已流著多元族群混合的血。包括1895年之前來到的漳、泉、廈及客家移民，包括1949年來到台灣的150萬大江大海人士，也包括近1、20年來起程自東南亞的新住民。訂立台灣感恩節，可以宣示台灣多元族群、多元文化、族群共榮，和而不同之社會共識，並向四百年來接納各路移民的台灣原住民族表達感恩之心及最高敬意。」
今天，陳耀昌醫師邀我這位立法委員一同去拜訪文化部長，為了「台灣感恩節」。
意見交換中，大家覺得這個節日可以放在五月的第二個星期六，大家覺得這個節日應該聚集所有的族群一起嘉年華，大家覺得這個節日可以有個紀念的花朵及食物.........
整個討論很開心，接下來需要大家的支持，需要更多的努力。但願有一天，你、我、他，我們一起來過「台灣感恩節」，在這之前，讓我們每一天彼此感恩。

#過節日學英文 感恩節 Thanksgiving Day
感恩節英文就叫做 Thanksgiving Day，在台灣是依照美國的感恩節日期，也就是「11月的第4個禮拜四」
例句：Thanksgiving Day is a public holiday in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November every year. (感恩節是每年11月的第4個禮拜四，在美國是國定假日。)
在感恩節當天，大家會聚在一起吃大餐，常常有包括火雞、南瓜派、玉米，也會搭配馬鈴薯泥、肉汁、蔓越莓醬。
turkey (n.) 火雞
pumpkin pie (n.) 南瓜派
corn (n.) 玉米
smashed potatoes (n.) 馬鈴薯泥
gravy (n.) 肉汁
cranberry sauce (n.) 蔓越莓醬
例句：I roasted a turkey to celebrate Thanksgiving with my friends today. (我今天烤了一隻火雞要和朋友一起慶祝感恩節。)
另外每年在美國感恩節，白宮都會舉辦一個「赦免火雞儀式(National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation)」， 會獻上一個美國在地的火雞給美國總統。其實是從1987年，雷根總統赦免了當時的火雞，後來在1989年，布希總統將此儀式訂為年度儀式傳統。
