Mai Fuchigami Wishes upon A Starry Sky in Her New MV "Hoshizora"

Voice actress Mai Fuchigami has planned to release her sixth single "Marionette coup d'etat" and her second full album "Hoshizora" simultaneously on January 27, 2021. Her official YouTube channel has posted a two-minute music video for the latter's title song.

It will have been three years since her debut album "Fly High Myway!" was released in January 2018. The long-awaited 12-song concept album includes all the lead tracks from her previous singles and six new songs written specifically for it. In addition, the bonus Blu-ray for its first press limited edition contains her second solo live concert "Journey & My Music" held at Nakano Sunplaza in Tokyo on April 28, 2018

Marionette coup d'etat" will be featured as the ED theme for Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: Battle of Kimluck, the upcoming second season of the reboot TV anime adaptation of Yoshinobu Akita's fantasy light novel series Majutsushi Orphen Haguretabi / Sorcerous Stabber Orphen.

Fuchigami has voiced one of the anime's main heroines, Dortin, and "Yosoku Funou Days" (Unpredictable Days), one of her double A-side fourth single songs released in February 2020, was also used as the ED theme for the new TV anime's first cour aired in Japan from January to March 2020.

Mai Fuchigami Enjoys Cake Decorating in "Valentine Hunter" MV

Following the clip for "Yosoku Funou Days" (Unpredictable Days), 32-year-old voice actress Mai Fuchigami has also posted a 100-second music video for another song from her double A-side fourth single, "Valentine Hunter," on Lantis' official YouTube channel.

Her first double A-side single "Yosoku Funou Days / Valentine Hunter" is scheduled to be released on February 5, 2020. Four days after the release, she will hold a special in-store event at Animate's Ikebukuro main store in Tokyo on February 9. In addition to her mini concert and talk session, participants will be also able to receive a Valentine's Day chocolate directly from her. To get an entry coupon for the event, you need to pre-order the single with a prepayment at the Animate stores in Japan by January 19. The lucky winners will be announced later this month.

As introduced, "Yosoku Funou Days" is now featured as the ED theme for the new TV anime adaptation of Yoshinobu Akita's fantasy light novel series Majutsushi Orphen Haguretabi/Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, in which she is also cast as one of its heroine characters, Dortin.

Finally, 400K Subscribers. It's been a long way! We're really sorry we couldn't celebrate by doing recital, concert or fans event due to the coronavirus issues. Still, we prepared this special video for you, hope you like it.

I've played them a lot at live streaming, but I rarely do videos for Studio Ghibli Animations. Not because I don't like it, it's just because there were too many covers already on YouTube. So I think this time it's a good opportunity to make it a medley with a different style of video, adding some words I'd like to say to you, hope you like this video.

As many of you might know, maybe it's the change of time, or change of the algorithm, change of YouTube, musicians on YouTube lives much harder than 4 or 5 years ago. We all have to find another way out to keep living. So in the past few month we've been working on streaming platforms, digital albums, and now is the Patreon. It would be really helpful that fans support us with those platforms IF you're able and willing to.

And just to be clear, I won't quit doing music videos even if it keep going worse, because doing these things including performing, recording and editing is one of my personal interest, that's why I started all this in the first place, and that's something never change.
