How to Measure your Maturity as a Christian?
Many believers think that the measure of a Christian’s maturity is how well they know and memorize the Scriptures.
If this were true, then the Jewish Rabbis who have memorized the Old Testament from cover to cover would be considered more mature than newly saved Christians.
However, this is not true.
The way God measures your maturity in Christ depends on how well you understand righteousness.
“For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food. For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.” (Hebrews 5:12-14 WEB)
When you think of the word “righteousness”, what do you understand by it? Is it something you become by your works and obeying the Ten Commandments, or is it a gift you freely received by grace through faith?
The Jewish Rabbis have memorized all 613 commandments of the Law, but they are babies because they still think that righteousness comes from doing the works of the Law.
More than just knowing that righteousness comes through faith, rely on this truth daily.
Whenever you mess up, believe that you are still righteous in Christ. You have become as acceptable before God as Jesus is, solely because of the precious blood that Jesus shed at the cross for you. This is probably the single, most important truth in our faith!
A mature Christian is not someone who is perfect in all his thoughts and ways. That is unattainable as long as we are still living in this body of sinful flesh.
A mature Christian is just a born-again believer who believes that righteousness is a gift. He relies on that truth daily, always conscious that he is eternally saved and forgiven, never to be separated from the love of God.
He prays at all times because he knows that he has influence with God, and that only God can provide lasting fruitfulness.
Are you a baby Christian or a mature Christian? It all depends on how you understand “righteousness”!

Decibel Worship's latest single, “First Christmas,” is out now on all streaming platforms!
The year may not have panned out the way we expected it to but Christmas is not cancelled, and we can still have a reason to celebrate in this season.
Christmas is the time when we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and His great love for us. Jesus left His throne in heaven and humbled Himself to be born as a baby so He could walk among us as Immanuel, God with us, dwelling in and with us here on earth. 🙌
Our prayer is that the truths shared in this song will offer hope, glorify Jesus and bring joy to you and yours as you celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas season. 💖

How to Have Peace with God?
“And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the Lord. If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried. Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings.” (Leviticus 7:11-13 KJV)
How do we have peace with God?
Is it by trying hard not to sin so that He won’t be angry with us?
Let’s study the peace offering and what it represents.
There are three unleavened food items and one leavened food item in this offering.
In the Bible, leaven is a picture of sin.
Therefore, the leavened bread is a picture of us. We were sinners who needed saving.
The unleavened cakes mingled with oil, unleavened wafers anointed with oil and fried cakes of fine flour mingled with oil are all pictured of Jesus Christ at different stages of His life on earth.
Oil is a picture of the Holy Spirit.
At conception, the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and caused Jesus to be conceived as a human baby. This is represented by the unleavened cakes mingled with oil.
Unleavened because Jesus is sinless. Notice that all three food items that represent Him are unleavened—He is always sinless.
At the river Jordan, when Jesus was baptized at age thirty, the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and rested upon Him.
Then for three and a half years, Jesus went about doing good and healing all in the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit.
This is represented by the unleavened wafers anointed (applied upon) with oil.
Finally, when Jesus hung on the cross, the fiery wrath of God was poured out upon Him because as judgment for the sins of the world. This is represented by the fried cakes of fine flour mingled with oil.
Even at the cross, when God the Father had to judge Jesus as if He were the most wicked sinner in existence (He was carrying all our sins), Jesus was never more pleasing to the Father.
Even though He was fried, He exuded fragrance like cakes of fine flour mingled with oil. He was carrying our sins upon Him, but those sins didn’t go into His spirit. He was still pure like fine flour.
You and I, the leavened bread, received God’s righteousness as a gift, while Jesus, the unleavened cake, received our sins and was judged in our place.
Dear brethren, you have peace with God not because of your works, but because God was born as a Man, anointed by the Holy Spirit and completed His work of dying as the ultimate atoning sacrifice for your sins.
He was then raised from the dead and is now seated with the Father, far above all principalities and powers, never to die again.
This is the reason why peace offerings are for thanksgiving. We will forever give thanks to the Lamb of God, who took away the sins of the world!

Blessed Christmas, everyone!
As you celebrate this special day with your loved ones, just take just 2 minutes to watch this video, and realize afresh how much the Lord loves you. :) That the God of the universe would send His Son into our world as a baby to die for our sins, and reconcile us unto Himself.
He’s the reason we can celebrate Christmas. (And IF for any reason it is a lonely Christmas for you this year ?, we hope watching this video makes it a little better. ❤️️ As we remember how the Lord came to Earth as a baby over 2,000 years ago, don’t forget that He lives in your heart today too (Eph 3:17). ?
Lotsa hugs, love and Christmas cheer from the Decibel team!

Watch this video and discover how it was poignantly clear, even from Jesus’ birth, that He was the only baby born to die, and for your sins and my sins. We pray that your hearts will be filled afresh with God’s love as you see how He always had our salvation in mind.
Knowing that His precious Son would die on the cross one day must've caused God such pain, but He chose to send Him into our world anyway. Will you receive His great compassion for you? #decibeladventcal17
