What’s happening in Thailand is extremely bad. As a citizen of this country, we are just demanding for democracy, justice and fundamental rights, but what the police and the government did to us has shown that they always see the people as their enemies. This is not the first time they overused violence with people. It’s too often and it shouldn’t be a normal situation for the protesters who demand for a better quality of life.

This is truly a tragedy, when humans lose their humanity. Especially, when these humans are authorities who have the power in their hand.

性醜聞案讓州警局顏面無光
Washington State Patrol sexual misconduct case tests oversight law as police reforms near passage

今天華盛頓州爆發的醜聞，正是克萊兒近兩年來最想跟大家分享的新聞。事件的主角是華盛頓州警局局長的女婿 Sean Carr。身為州警局小隊長的 Sean Carr，被控在值勤時多次強暴一名州警局的女性雇員。

Sean Carr 的老婆是華盛頓州警局局長的女兒 Johnna Batiste，她本身也是州警。這兩人跟我們其實都算是挺熟的。Johnna 在警校比州警大人晚一屆畢業。州警大人剛開始執勤的前幾年，跟 Johnna 在同一個分隊共事。剛開始我們一群人常常混在一起，一起看棒球賽、家中烤肉聚會、外出聚餐，州警大人還幫他們搬過家。不過那都是很多年前的事了。當時州警大人和克萊兒一心想要好好融入州警局這個大家庭。可是後來因為諸多原因，發現我們個性南轅北轍，合不來又硬要相處在一起實在痛苦，所以便慢慢疏遠。

州警大人一直以來非常厭惡 Sean Carr 這個人，Sean Carr 在州警局的風評一向不佳，自視甚高、利慾薰心、攀權附貴、濫用警察職權。說穿了，就是典型不適合當警察的人。州警大人之所以會這麼早升職，其實有一部分也要感謝他。自從 Sean Carr 升為小隊長後，州警大人害怕同在皮爾斯郡服務的自己，會被分配到 Sean Carr 的分隊。州警大人實在受不了他，所以一有機會就參加升職考試，也很幸運升官了。

至於 Johnna 這個人，個性沒什麼大問題，就是稍微愛出風頭、喜歡八卦。尤其是頭頂著州警局局長女兒的光環，她的州警生涯可謂一帆風順。只要上網搜尋她的名字，就可以找到許多她受訪的新聞片段。看似家庭、事業兩得意的生活，州警局的傳言卻是他們兩人的婚姻問題不斷。Sean Carr 被傳出有婚外情，而且被指控在執勤時行為不檢也並非第一次。只不過仗著局長女婿的特殊身份，讓他一直關關難過關關過。而他老婆也總是為他辨護，反過來指控傳聞中的第三者或受害者才是主動糾纏她老公的人。

正因如此，當 Sean Carr 的醜聞傳出後，州警大人和克萊兒一點也不驚訝。州警局調查自家員警的案件過程，向來不對外公開，而且總是神秘兮兮的。不過，也許因為主角身分敏感的關係，這件性醜聞的細節迅速傳遍整個州警局。州警局所有人都在猜想 Sean Carr 會不會被開除。州警大人也十分關注案情的發展，三不五時就跟克萊兒更新訊息：「今天他的警車不見了耶！」「今天他辦公室的名牌被撤走了耶！」「今天他的州警局 email 被永久刪除了耶。」克萊兒原本猜想 Sean Carr 這次頂多被降職而已，沒想到幾個月前證實他自動請辭，由此可知事情的嚴重性。

其實這起性醜聞一開始只是一樁單純的婚外情，Sean Carr 和指控他強暴的州警局女雇員在 2012 年就相識，兩人一直維持複雜的關係，直到 Sean Carr 與州警局局長的女兒結婚後，這兩人依舊糾纏不清。婚外情持續好幾年，根據女雇員指控，女方前幾年開始與其他人約會，Sean Carr 發現後惱羞成怒，多達三次在不同的場所強行與她發生性關係。更糟糕的是，強暴發生的時候，Sean Carr 是身著制服執勤中的狀態。

Sean Carr 之前曾面對類似的行為不檢指控，不過都奇妙的大事化小、小事化無。這次事態如滾雪球般愈滾愈大，為了迴避利益衝突，案件交由瑟斯頓郡警長辦公室調查。Sean Carr 否認性侵指控，只承認他與這名州警局女雇員確實發生多次性關係，有幾次確實發生在他值勤時，不過全都是在兩人同意的情況下進行。他也承認自己曾多次傳送不雅自拍影片 / 照片給女方。「我很羞愧，」Sean Carr 告訴調查人員： 「州警局付我錢是要我好好工作，而不是讓我跟女朋友打情罵俏。」

唉！這種不適任的惡警老鼠屎，州警局早該將他掃地出門。Sean Carr 的性醜聞不只置州警局局長一家人於風口浪尖上，更讓華盛頓州警局顏面掃地。Sean Carr 的聽審會預計這周開始，克萊兒希望州政府能成功撤消他當警察的資格 (decertification)。當一位美國員警被撤消資格後，代表他終生不能再擔任美國的執法人員。

Watch Dogs is an action-adventure game, played from a third-person view. The player controls hacker Aiden Pearce, who uses his smartphone to control trains and traffic lights, infiltrate security systems, jam cellphones, access pedestrians' private information, and empty their bank accounts. System hacking involves the solving of puzzles. The game is set in a fictionalized version of Chicago ("Windy City"), an open world environment which permits free-roaming. It has a day-night cycle and dynamic weather system, which changes the behavior of non-player characters (NPCs). For melee combat, Pearce has an extensible truncheon; other combat uses handguns, shotguns, sniper rifles, machine guns, and grenade launchers. The skill tree is upgraded with points earned from hacking, combat, driving, and crafted items.
Money can be used to purchase guns, outfits, and vehicles.
There are several minigames, ranging from killing aliens to controlling a large, robotic spider.
