This was when i was week36. Just a week before, i had a scare. I suddenly had quite a lot of dark red discharge. I googled and it looked like mucus plug. We rushed to hospital right away! Doc suggested that we took a steriod jab to strengthen Layla's lungs in case she decided to come early. Being a paranoid mom-to-be, i initially refused to take the jab. But doctor suggested that it would do no harm to baby and it was a common thing. I took it. And i cried.

That was the first time i experienced mom's guilt. Until today, we still don't know what's the actual cause of the bleeding. It could literally be anything. But i took it all upon myself. Was it because i exercised too much? Was it bcos of my diet? Was it bcos i have a weak uterus? Could it be i have bad genes? Was it bcos i drank that few sips of coke every now and then? It could be anything, but i made them all about me.

Since then i prayed so hard every day and night that she would stay in there until at least Week37. I was given the order to bedrest. And so i did.
Thankfully, she did corporate with us like she always does. She came out at Week38, strong and healthy!

I've learnt, there's so much to feel bad about in parenthood. But in retrospect, could i have done with a little less self-blame, less worry, less guilt? Definitely, and things would still be ok!

For all the coments on how 'it'll only get better', you can't be more right! I can't believe i was crying over spilt milk just 9 weeks ago. It felt so long ago, and yet so much had changed!

Motherhood, what a journey! I'm loving every bit of it!

Some questions I always get asked:

1) Is your Destiny Analysis very brief or specific?

Clients who have had their Bazi read by me had never complained of my analysis being brief.

After our first consultation, a young man recently told me he felt underprepared in terms of questions, responses and knowledge in front of me.

(Actually I find him okay.)

Take a look at my album of testimonials from clients and workshop participants.

Why do you think some of them write lengthy testimonials for me?

These are the people who have experienced positive transformations when they followed my advice.

They don't get extra incentive from me from writing all these.

This is their way of paying me back and helping others.

If I had been brief, superficial or vague, you think my smart and educated clients will bother?

A more intelligent question to ask me is:

"Can you solve my problem?"

You probably have spent enough time trying to figure out the deadknot in your life.

If I can't solve your problem, I will not take up your case.

And when I can solve your problem, compared to other Feng Shui masters that you may have consulted, then don't worry your pretty head off whether I will be brief or specific.

不管是白貓還是黑貓，抓到老鼠就是好貓。

Whether black or white, the cat that catches the rat is a good cat.

As long as the solution works, and is simple to implement,

Don't get tricked by the illusion of consultation time - longer time must be better value for money.

Being taken for a merry-go-round with no end result is frustrating.

If the Feng Shui practitioner cannot make it, 1 minute with him/her remains a waste of money and time.

In any case, my Bazi consultation time is 1.5 hour and 2 hours for Feng Shui audits.

I also cover 10-13 other areas in your Bazi , apart from your issue at hand.

2) Do you provide reports?

Never did, never will.

I trust that you, as a responsible and self-loving adult, can write your own notes.

I'm a patient person. I will give you time to write.

One client told me that she rather write her own notes, as previously, she couldn't comprehend what the other Feng Shui Master wrote in her report. It was too technical for her.

While I'm patient, I'm also particular.

If I do not see you writing down important details, I will stop the entire consultation till you jot it down.

Don't tell me that you can remember.

You may not and I'm not going to risk my reputation of being detailed for your callousness. Most importantly, I take every destiny very seriously.

If in front of me, you are flippant about your destiny, don't think it's important to write down when you do not know better than me, then there is no motivation for me to continue the consultation.

3) After a Destiny Analysis, do I still need to come back to you every year?

So you got a thorough health check up done this year, does that mean you don't have to do it anymore?

After getting your whole Bazi read, the next kind of reading you should seek is known as 流年運程, Annual Luck Analysis.

Some people think that this service is our way of further"monetizing" our clients.

People's goals change every year.

You want to start a business.
You want to start a family.
You want to branch out your business.
Your child had done well last year, you want to know what else you should do to help him for his PSLE.
You don't know if you should change your company.
You want to get a divorce.
You want to...

An annual luck analysis helps you to stay on track of your previous goals, and provides a yearly breakdown on how to get maximum results with the least minimal effort and obstacles.

During the consultation, I also help to highlight to client Ma the potential opportunities that will happen that year so that they won't miss out due to ignorance.

In some Bazi, they may have a bad luck period eg from 2015-2020, a good 5 years.

Does that mean everything they do will be futile?
But life continues to happen, what can they do?

This is where a Annual Luck Analysis comes in.

Out of the 5 bad years, there's bound to be a year that is more promising, there's bound to be solutions to get around things.

By going microscopic, we will always, always have a chance to turn the tide to our favour.

Never never never give up.

I don't make much small talk during consultations.

I understand that money can be limited for some of you.

When you take the good faith to invest in me, I see it as my duty to live up and beyond your expectations, instead of chit chatting.

Don't misinterpret it as me being unfriendly.

I can answer some doubts you may have before meeting me, but there is a limit to how much I will clarify.

I can't be helping you if you overthink and get too insecure about Chinese Metaphysics. You have to solve that yourself before you consult anyone. There's a reason why I wrote 400 over posts and 60+ Lives.

Your money and my time are both scarce resources.

So let's invest it in the right person.

我已經在台南西港堀仔頭以生態村作為抵抗<西港外環道擋拆大作戰>駐村7天(超開心的這裡：早上張開眼睛在竹林與芭蕉葉之間醒來，走著走著就有樹抱，下午跟好友們一起煮飯揮鋤頭，大家都很愛彼此，也很愛樹。)，每天都跟其他藝術家學習怎麼在田裡生活，瞭解植被，學習如何能不輕易浪費資源。如果樹木被砍光了，土壤就跟著貧瘠，再來就不能種田，不能種田之後連土也不能吃，然後國家就會進口農產品，進口當然是要省成本找那種最便宜的，最便宜的當然是最大廠ㄉ，然後進回來之後再說國外的月亮圓要課稅。再來就好像是便宜得賣你，像是地瓜粉一包不到50元，你去買50元的地瓜回來做地瓜粉看看，看你做出多少地瓜粉？然後基改的農場品進來之後，再進國外進口的藥，「哇，米勾進靠欸，啾賀欸，緊來團購幾勒。有健保啦哩嘛多領一些藥。」開診所，假借仁慈之名說要懸壺濟世開醫院，其實啦~D賽叫你沒事多喝水但是也要多看醫生下禮拜還要回診。然後開一些爛學校，讓你現在覺得便利商店跟你說吸管塑膠袋盡量用這樣很正常(以前塑膠袋還不用錢喔，真的有在黑喔)，反正你的國家乾淨的能源愈少(乾淨的樹, 清新的空氣, 透徹的水)，我的帝國就相對強勢。

我們都可以更不自私一點
各取所需 珍惜這塊孕育我們的土地 不要浪費資源

不要再把竹筷包在便當盒裡面，養樂多丟在塑膠袋裡面，方便又輕鬆得丟進那一桶。也不要隨地亂丟垃圾，像是菸屁股。塑膠掉到地上，融化到土地裡，再進到水。我們的飲食都超塑🤑。

Real Democracy in Taiwan in Jeopardy

Taiwan has had a reputation of being a shining light of Democracy in Asia. That reputation has been tarnished in the past 10 years, but the Sunflower Movement, a movement of courageous YOUNG people, gave Taiwanese a sign of hope.

President Tsai Ing-wen’s election victory signaled greater hope for change and progressive policy changes in Taiwan. However, her difficulties have most people in Taiwan doubting the possibility of meaningful change.

What has become more obvious over time is that the leadership, whether KMT or DPP, have all been instrumental in policies and practices that are deemed unfair or unjust to different groups in Taiwan.

As discussed in this recent article in New Bloom Magazine (http://newbloommag.net/.../sigang-tainan-preservation-fest/) conflicts between youth activists has not decreased with the current administration. What the youth of Taiwan sees as injustice continues on every level of government. It may be time to consider significant reform in the way the government works. Without serious reform, politicians can legally appropriate government funding for projects that do little for their communities, but put money in the pockets of their friends and family members. And, this has far greater consequences than the waste of public funds.

I have been following closely a case of forced land appropriation in Sigang District of Tainan City, and have grown to admire the courage and resourcefulness of a growing group of young “tree protectors,” led by TC Cheng. This organic farmer respects his trees that his grandfather planted 80 years ago, and they are one of the few remaining forests in the area, providing a haven for many animal species. He also wants to protect the local culture, including the Japanese railroad line that runs along the proposed highway route. TC wants to protect the natural and cultural identity of the community, before it is wiped out by unnecessary construction.

If you ask the local politicians, the proposed “bypass” highway is important to the local economy, although a closer inspection may cause one to doubt their logic. One thing is likely. Whomever bought the land near the highway site will profit. Unfortunately, these local politicians have been able to have most of the locals buy into their reasons, so local support for protecting the trees has not been strong.

Local community groups and associations have come together to propose a compromise in this case. They have created a new plan for the road development that is not a “bypass” road, but rather a “cultural heritage road,” which will preserve the oldest trees and develop the local culture, so people will WANT TO COME to the community. THAT is what would help the local economy.

But, the local politicians and Tainan City government don’t want to offer the patience to evaluate and consider the plan.

That leaves us with a confrontation. Any confrontation is a risky proposition to the bulldozer drivers, the developers, the police and to the politicians. They all could get bad publicity, which could give Tainan City Mayor Lai a black mark for any upcoming Presidential election.

More importantly, the tree defenders have the qualities of courage and leadership that Taiwan needs. We need to listen to young leaders, not push them aside them for the sake of short-sighted profit. This reporter will do what he can to document the developments, and pray for everyone’s safety.

It seems that is all we have left, when the corrupt, broken system leaves no other alternatives. Please PRAY with me for the safety of these young heroes.

Without government reform, Taiwan will lose its natural habitats, cultural identity, and young heroes for its future generations.
