The initial stages of taking care of a newborn was gruelling. It felt like those days would nv get better, I'll never see that light at the end of the tunnel. Even though fellow moms kept telling me it'll get better, but at that moment it felt like a big fat lie!
4 months later, I've became one of those moms that keeps saying 'Dont worry, it'll get better!' too! Haha! I've found a really nice rhythm with Layla. Dont need apps to remind me what time to feed her or to put her to bed anymore. Now i can even slip in time for self-care, like swimming, yoga, facial, pilates, massage etc. Soon enough i shall resume my meditation practices too!
After taking a hiatus of 10 months from filming, i am finally back at work! Honestly, I am scared. I absolutely love breastfeeding Layla! I loved it when it was hard in the beginning, i love it even more now that it's so much easier (when i say easier, i mean no bleeding nips and waking up only once or twice a night). I had put in so much time and effort to build up and stabilise my milk supply. I am scared with work, my supply willl dwindle away.
But i am 100% committed to keeping my supply up! Even if it means sacrificing my sleep, so be it, i will press on! I bought a portable tent so when I'm filming in obscure places, i can pump in the tent! Thank goodness, i haven't had to use it yet.
Going back to work also means a new routine. These days, i wake up at 545a on work days so i can get ready earlier and feed her before i go to work. In order not to take up too much production time, i will need to drive and pump on my way to filming location at 8am. Then the next time i pump will be at lunch time! I am so grateful to my production team for being so understanding towards my commitment to breastfeed!
If there's a will, there's a way. I really, really hope i can pull through this crazy hours for the next 3 months!!

After two weeks ago the workout live collaboration with coach Tan Wooi Keat. I received many good reviews and many people actually liked it. I was so worried that he will scare you guys away 🤣.
He believes in using heavy weight and do interval training. He’s a all rounder fitness coach. And I believe in being an all rounder too. That’s why I don’t do one kind of workout only. Some people just like to go to gym and lift weights, some people just like to do pure cardio to run or swim. Some just like to sweat by doing Hiit / tabata. Some just like to do yoga.
I like doing all, strengthen myself, toning myself , training myself to build muscle, lose fat, getting stronger, better mobility, greater endurance and increase metabolism all together!
My way of workout, those of you that have been following me for few months, you know I keep preaching and encouraging you all to try different exercises, give your body a chance to do different kind of workout. No one ☝️ workout can do it all. Unless if your goal is to be a heavy lifting body builder, i wouldn’t ask you to do yoga and pilates.
This week #oalworkout LIVE will be changed to Sunday 3:30pm!

As I inch closer to my due date, my back is starting to ache from #babyWooLaLa exponential weight gain. I'm starting to get water retention in my legs and feet. I'm constantly feeling hot and sweaty, severely dehydrated even with 3l of water intake everyday. My hair is limp and weak (that luscious hair during pregnancy thing DID NOT AT ALL happen for me). I feel tired, but can't maintain my sleep well at night.
Exercise really helps me feel better! I missed swimming the whole of last week and was feeling uncomfortable all over. Today's swim is such a treat! So glad i manage to do my usual 10 laps before it started to pour! On top of swimming, I've now also included once a week pilates session with @thebettermovement and trekking. I recently rediscovered the beauty of Botanic Gardens, so will likely take my mom for a trek sometime this week!
#34 weeks into the pregnancy already! So proud that i manage to stay active the whole time. I'm sure all of this will help with my c-sect postnatal recovery!
