Cafe hopping in Chiang Rai is nothing but fun. I enjoyed myself talking to the local baristas and owners and amazed by how they pursue their coffee dream.
For example, note from @localcoffeechiangrai shifted to Chiang Rai to open this lovely cafe is also a professor in Bangkok who fly back once a weekly just to teach. I am inspired to further pursue my coffee dream too. And heartfelt thankfulness to him for this beautiful ootd, cafe recommendations and this delicious tomoto-ish thai coffee brewed over V60. Chiang Rai has indeed surprised me!

- Visit the Tribe village
- Cupple Cups cafe
- Visit the Golden Clock Tower
- Dinner at Manoram cafe
- Visit the night market / go for massage

19/03/19 (Tuesday)
- Breakfast at hotel & check-out
- Visit White Temple (Wat Rong Khun)
- Visit Blue Temple (Wat Rong Seur Ten)
- Lunch at Chivit Thammada Coffee House

Bcos coffee is in my blood and cafe hopping is a must thing to do in Chiang Rai. As an initiative of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1969 as a viable alternative to the opium crop, great emphasis has been placed on coffee cultivation in Northern Thailand. Hence, it is of no surprise that the cafe culture here is strong and there is no lack of cafes around. La marzocco coffee machine is almost a common sight. Would you be interested if I do a list of 5 cafes to hop?
