Happy Independence Day to Malaysia! 63rd Years Old and definitely many more to come!
I am so proud to be a Malaysian and one of my goal in my athletic career is to let the World know that Malaysia is a multiracial country and we stay together as one!
I have been to so many countries, and most of them didn't know that we Malaysia consists of three major races like Malay, Chinese, Indian, and other minority ethnic group as well.
Whenever I was in oversea like China, Taiwan, they didn't know that Malaysia Chinese can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien well, and they will be amazed on my fluency of these languages. I am always the translator whenever I went to my European Towerrunners buddy.
I felt so proud that I born in Malaysia and able to master the key languages like Bahasa, Mandarin, English, and now I am learning Spanish (2nd Most Used Language in the World, after Mandarin).
I hereby wish that all Malaysian are able to always stay together, unite, and taking care of each other whenever we are and be ready to do our best to make our country proud of us too!

Earlier today, Airbnb Co-Founder and CEO Brian Chesky sent the following note to Airbnb employees.
This is my seventh time talking to you from my house. Each time we’ve talked, I’ve shared good news and bad news, but today I have to share some very sad news.
When you’ve asked me about layoffs, I’ve said that nothing is off the table. Today, I must confirm that we are reducing the size of the Airbnb workforce. For a company like us whose mission is centered around belonging, this is incredibly difficult to confront, and it will be even harder for those who have to leave Airbnb. I am going to share as many details as I can on how I arrived at this decision, what we are doing for those leaving, and what will happen next.
Let me start with how we arrived at this decision. We are collectively living through the most harrowing crisis of our lifetime, and as it began to unfold, global travel came to a standstill. Airbnb’s business has been hit hard, with revenue this year forecasted to be less than half of what we earned in 2019. In response, we raised $2 billion in capital and dramatically cut costs that touched nearly every corner of Airbnb.
While these actions were necessary, it became clear that we would have to go further when we faced two hard truths:
1. We don’t know exactly when travel will return.
2. When travel does return, it will look different.
While we know Airbnb’s business will fully recover, the changes it will undergo are not temporary or short-lived. Because of this, we need to make more fundamental changes to Airbnb by reducing the size of our workforce around a more focused business strategy.
Out of our 7,500 Airbnb employees, nearly 1,900 teammates will have to leave Airbnb, comprising around 25% of our company. Since we cannot afford to do everything that we used to, these cuts had to be mapped to a more focused business.
▍A more focused business
Travel in this new world will look different, and we need to evolve Airbnb accordingly. People will want options that are closer to home, safer, and more affordable. But people will also yearn for something that feels like it’s been taken away from them — human connection. When we started Airbnb, it was about belonging and connection. This crisis has sharpened our focus to get back to our roots, back to the basics, back to what is truly special about Airbnb — everyday people who host their homes and offer experiences.
This means that we will need to reduce our investment in activities that do not directly support the core of our host community. We are pausing our efforts in Transportation and Airbnb Studios, and we have to scale back our investments in Hotels and Lux.
These decisions are not a reflection of the work from people on these teams, and it does not mean everyone on these teams will be leaving us. Additionally, teams across all of Airbnb will be impacted. Many teams will be reduced in size based on how well they map to where Airbnb is headed.
▍How we approached reductions
It was important that we had a clear set of principles, guided by our core values, for how we would approach reductions in our workforce. These were our guiding principles:
• Map all reductions to our future business strategy and the capabilities we will need.
• Do as much as we can for those who are impacted.
• Be unwavering in our commitment to diversity.
• Optimize for 1:1 communication for those impacted.
• Wait to communicate any decisions until all details are landed — transparency of only partial information can make matters worse.
I have done my best to stay true to these principles.
▍Process for making reductions
Our process started with creating a more focused business strategy built on a sustainable cost model. We assessed how each team mapped to our new strategy, and we determined the size and shape of each team going forward. We then did a comprehensive review of every team member and made decisions based on critical skills, and how well those skills matched our future business needs.
The result is that we will have to part with teammates that we love and value. We have great people leaving Airbnb, and other companies will be lucky to have them. To take care of those that are leaving, we have looked across severance, equity, healthcare, and job support and done our best to treat everyone in a compassionate and thoughtful way.
▍Severance
Employees in the US will receive 14 weeks of base pay, plus one additional week for every year at Airbnb. Tenure will be rounded to the nearest year. For example, if someone has been at Airbnb for 3 years and 7 months, they will get an additional 4 weeks of salary, or 18 weeks of total pay. Outside the US, all employees will receive at least 14 weeks of pay, plus tenure increases consistent with their country-specific practices.
▍Equity
We are dropping the one-year cliff on equity for everyone we’ve hired in the past year so that everyone departing, regardless of how long they have been here, is a shareholder. Additionally, everyone leaving is eligible for the May 25 vesting date.
▍Healthcare
In the midst of a global health crisis of unknown duration, we want to limit the burden of healthcare costs. In the US, we will cover 12 months of health insurance through COBRA. In all other countries, we will cover health insurance costs through the end of 2020. This is because we’re either legally unable to continue coverage, or our current plans will not allow for an extension. We will also provide four months of mental health support through KonTerra.
▍Job support
Our goal is to connect our teammates leaving Airbnb with new job opportunities. Here are five ways we can help:
• Alumni Talent Directory — We will be launching a public-facing website to help teammates leaving find new jobs. Departing employees can opt-in to have profiles, resumes, and work samples accessible to potential employers.
• Alumni Placement Team — For the remainder of 2020, a significant portion of Airbnb Recruiting will become an Alumni Placement Team. Recruiters that are staying with Airbnb will provide support to departing employees to help them find their next job.
• RiseSmart — We are offering four months of career services through RiseSmart, a company that specializes in career transition and job placement services.
• Employee Offered Alumni Support
We are encouraging all remaining employees to opt-in to a program to assist departing teammates find their next role.
• Laptops - A computer is an important tool to find new work, so we are allowing everyone leaving to keep their Apple laptops.
▍Here is what will happen next
I want to provide clarity to all of you as soon as possible. We have employees in 24 countries, and the time it will take to provide clarity will vary based on local laws and practices. Some countries require notifications about employment to be received in a very specific way. While our process may differ by country, we have tried to be thoughtful in planning for every employee. In the US and Canada, I can provide immediate clarity. Within the next few hours, those of you leaving Airbnb will receive a calendar invite to a departure meeting with a senior leader in your department.
It was important to us that wherever we legally could, people were informed in a personal, 1:1 conversation. The final working day for departing employees based in the US and Canada will be Monday, May 11. We felt Monday would give people time to begin taking next steps and say goodbye — we understand and respect how important this is.
Some employees who are staying will have a new role, and will receive a meeting invite with the subject “New Role” to learn more about it. For those of you in the US and Canada who are staying on the Airbnb team, you will not receive a calendar invite.
At 6pm pacific time, I will host a world@ meeting for our Asia-Pacific teams. At 12am pacific time, I will host a world@ meeting for our Europe and Middle East teams. Following each of these meetings, we’ll proceed with next steps in each country based on local practices.
I’ve asked all Airbnb leaders to wait to bring their teams together until the end of this week out of respect to our teammates being impacted. I want to give everyone the next few days to process this, and I’ll host a CEO Q&A again this Thursday at 4pm pacific time.
▍Some final words
As I have learned these past eight weeks, a crisis brings you clarity about what is truly important. Though we have been through a whirlwind, some things are more clear to me than ever before.
First, I am thankful for everyone here at Airbnb. Throughout this harrowing experience, I have been inspired by all of you. Even in the worst of circumstances, I’ve seen the very best of us. The world needs human connection now more than ever, and I know that Airbnb will rise to the occasion. I believe this because I believe in you.
Second, I have a deep feeling of love for all of you. Our mission is not merely about travel. When we started Airbnb, our original tagline was, “Travel like a human.” The human part was always more important than the travel part. What we are about is belonging, and at the center of belonging is love.
To those of you staying, One of the most important ways we can honor those who are leaving is for them to know that their contributions mattered, and that they will always be part of Airbnb’s story. I am confident their work will live on, just like this mission will live on.
To those leaving Airbnb, I am truly sorry. Please know this is not your fault. The world will never stop seeking the qualities and talents that you brought to Airbnb…that helped make Airbnb. I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing them with us.

Trey Burke won’t admit the braided hair is a tribute to his idol, Hall of Famer Allen Iverson. The Knicks’ new starting point guard does admit, though, he is striving to come close to Iverson’s grandeur.
Burke has done Iverson proud on back-to-back nights. One night after leading to the Knicks to victory in Washington with late heroics in his first start for the team, Burke did one better in notching a career-high 42 points — 35 after halftime — to go with 12 assists on Monday.
It wasn’t enough to stop Kemba Walker and the Hornets in a 137-128 overtime thriller at Spectrum Center. Walker posted 11 of his 31 points in overtime and hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 17 seconds left in regulation over Michael Beasley.
Burke had a chance to win it in regulation. After waving off Hornacek’s timeout gesture, Burke wound down the clock, waved off a pick from Luke Kornet, lost control of the ball and had to heave up a desperation airball at the buzzer. But wins and losses aren’t as important to the Knicks in March and April as finding their 2018-19 point guard. In his two starts, Burke is making the case he’ll be their starting man next season.
“Charlotte continued to allow me to see what I can get off the screen and I took advantage of it,’’ Burke said. “I’m not thinking about having a bad game. That’s how I played in the past. Now I don’t what care what no one thinks. That’s how I can play freely. Being a young player in the league, sometimes it takes longer to adjust.’’
Late Sunday, after his first start as a Knick resulted in a rare road win over the Wizards, Burke sat in the visitors’ locker room next to his former Michigan buddy, Tim Hardaway Jr., who recently described a Burke performance as filled with “his little A.I. moves.”
“I just got tired of cutting my hair,” Burke said of the Iverson comparison. “I think the fans saw it and ran with it.”
Against Washington, he showed flashes of Iverson’s razzle-dazzle, willing the Knicks to victory with 19 points, three steals and three assists.
Monday, it was Iverson deluxe — shooting 19-for-31 from the field in becoming the first Knick since Bernard King in 1985 to post a 40-12 game.
“Nothing new to me,’’ Hardaway said. “I’ve been seen him doing this since we were at school in Michigan. He’s meant to be here. He’s supposed to be here. He’s not a G-League player, he’s not an overseas player.’’
The 2013 Utah lottery pick is in the middle of reversing a reputation as a bust in 29 games with the Knicks. It seems management finally noticed enough to allow Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek to give Burke his first start.
“I got a long way to go,” said Burke, who has a partially guaranteed deal for next season. “I know that. A.I. is a goal. Pound for pound, one of the greatest to ever play. I want to get there one day. I believe it.”
The Michigan man and former NCAA Tournament hero had to restart from the bottom. But Burke has the kind of Iverson brashness these young Knicks will need next season.
“When I get my hair braided, everyone’s like, ‘You look like Iverson, you got the tattoos, the way you move,’” Burke said. “More than anything, it’s my movements and crossover. That’s all from watching him. His mid-range. I watched a lot of Michael Jordan. Those were two guys who inspired me to play the game of basketball. I can remember being 4, 5 years old watching those two.”

Detroit's Allen Iverson walks into a reprise of his often quoted line.
Allen Iverson spoke at length about the ways hes grown as a person and a player, saying hes willing to make sacrifices to complete his career with a championship as a Detroit Piston.
The former NBA MVP then set himself up Tuesday for an exchange that showed hes mature enough to be the butt of the joke.
One thing is for sure, Im going to do whatever the coach wants me to do, Iverson said.
Even practice? Joe Dumars asked, mockingly.
PRACTICE?! Iverson replied with a sparkling smile, using the word he spoke over and over in Philadelphia in 2002.
Dumars, the Pistons president of basketball operations, welcomed Iverson at a packed news conference and delved into a deal that has created unprecedented excitement for a storied franchise with three NBA titles.
I cant think of one that has created this kind of buzz, said Dumars, who has been a Pistons player and executive for two-plus decades. He brings a certain stature with him that only a handful of guys in this league can bring.
The Pistons were close to trading for Iverson from Philadelphia entering the 2000-01 season, but 76ers center Matt Geiger used a clause in his contract to nix the deal.
Then, the Pistons watched Iverson lead Philadelphia to the NBA finals and become league MVP.
Eight years later, Detroit is hoping The Answer was worth the wait.
Iverson does, too.
I want to be the piece that gets us over the hump, he said. Ive done so many things in this league, being an All-Star and scoring champion and things like that, but I havent accomplished my No. 1 goal and that is to win a championship.
The Pistons acquired Iverson in a blockbuster trade Monday, sending All-Star point guard and former finals MVP Chauncey Billups, top reserve Antonio McDyess and project Cheikh Samb to the Denver Nuggets.
This is a big day for us, but I would be remiss if I didnt say how much we appreciated how much Chauncey Billups and McDyess did for us, Dumars said. Much love to those guys because they helped build a foundation to help us become who we are today.
Detroit is desperate for another shot at an NBA title after getting eliminated in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals the past three years following its third championship in 2004 and falling just short of winning a fourth the next season.
We think he is going to fit with exactly what we stand for here, Dumars said. Its all about winning and being in the big dance at the end of the year. Those are his goals along with ours.
I dont think were going to sit here today and make any grand promises, but everybody knows our goals.
If Billups completes a physical and paperwork in time, Iverson will play Wednesday night in Toronto. McDyess and Samb have not been required to report to Denver. Barring injury, the 33-year-old Iverson will make his home debut Sunday night against the Boston Celtics in an NBA game as intriguing as one could be in early November.

Allen Iverson regained his scoring touch in time to save the Philadelphia 76ers.
Still struggling with his shooting following a knee injury, Iverson scored 26 points -- his most in more than a month -- in Philadelphia's 87-82 victory over Orlando on Monday night.
Iverson has only been back a week after sitting out 10 games because of a bruised right knee. But he has a while to go to regain his All-Star form.
"My rhythm is way off. I'm struggling," said Iverson, shooting 37 percent in five games since returning. "It's frustrating that it's taking so long for my game to come back. But by being in the league eight years, I've been through struggles and I know how to play while struggling."
Philadelphia took control midway through the third quarter with 11 straight points to go up 68-60. Orlando's Keith Bogans stopped the run with a jumper despite being knocked down, but Iverson seized the momentum back with his lone 3-pointer of the night.
Iverson shot 9-for-29, 1-for-4 on 3-pointers, with seven assists and six turnovers. The last time he topped 20 points was Dec. 5, when he scored 35 in a victory in Miami.
The 76ers are 3-2 since Iverson returned.
"The games we lose, it hurts worse," Iverson said. "But in the games that we win, I don't think about it."
Samuel Dalembert set career highs with 15 points and 11 rebounds. He fouled out late in the game, but only after his block of Tracy McGrady's driving dunk with 2:54 remaining blunted Orlando's comeback.
Dalembert, who blocked three shots, started because Derrick Coleman missed his 12th game of the season with a left knee sprain.
"Samuel was great in terms of defending the rim," 76ers coach Randy Ayers said.
Glenn Robinson added 19 points, and Kenny Thomas and Eric Snow each added 13. Thomas also tied his season high with 16 rebounds.
The 76ers missed 14 of 17 shots in the fourth quarter, including their last 10, with their final field goal coming on Dalembert's jumper with 7:32 remaining. But they made eight of 10 late free throws to hold off the Magic.
Orlando has lost seven of eight and missed a chance to move into a tie with Atlanta for the league's worst record.
McGrady scored 32 points for Orlando, including 10 of the Magic's 16 in the fourth quarter. He also had 10 rebounds.
Less than 17 seconds remained when Orlando closed within a possession on McGrady's layup. But Snow hit two free throws and McGrady missed a 3-pointer with 8.9 seconds to go.
McGrady missed all nine of his 3-point tries, shooting 13-for-30.
"Shots were going in and out, good shots," McGrady said. "I'd take those shots any game. It just wasn't our night on the offensive end."
Bogans added 20 points, shooting 6-for-10 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line. He opened Orlando's scoring with a 3-pointer, but the Magic shot 1-for-17 beyond the arc after that.
"I guess I had an 'on' game tonight," said Bogans, 2-for-5 on 3-pointers. "I made shots, but I can't speak for anybody else."
Orlando shot 36 percent -- 26.2 percent after halftime.
The 76ers jumped out to an early 11-point lead by making 11 of their first 20 shots -- despite six misses from Iverson. Dalembert made all four of his shots in the first quarter while grabbing seven rebounds.
Game notes
Philadelphia got no scoring from its bench until Greg Buckner's free throw with 5.7 seconds left to play ... NBA commissioner David Stern attended the game. Stern is in Florida for a sporting goods show in Orlando and the league's marketing meetings in Boca Raton. ... Philadelphia is 14-4 when holding opponents 86 points or less. ...
