活動介紹:
“The growth in IoT is explosive, impressive – and unsustainable under current architectural approaches. Many IoT deployments face challenges related to latency, network bandwidth, reliability and security, which cannot be addressed in cloud-only models. Fog computing adds a hierarchy of elements between the cloud and endpoint devices, and between devices and gateways, to meet these challenges in a high performance, open and interoperable way.” OpenFog Consortium
In this summit, we will invite Dr. Zao, the Chairman of IEEE Standard: Delivers Framework for Developing Applications and Business Models Enabled by Fog Computing, to share the most update development in Fog computing development, Dr. Feng, General Director of III, to share her view of Taiwan Fog/Edge development, and Dr. CT Yang, from AD Link, a leading company for integrated H/S in Fog computing, to explore their development of Fog OS. In following technical sessions, four speakers from NCTU, NTU, and NCKU will present their Advanced Industry Research in the area of Agriculture, embedded system, block chain, and Intelligent monitoring system. And four different use cases of using Fog/Edge computing will also be presented. Finally 4-6 startups/new divisions based on Fog/Edge computing will give a business pitch of their recent creation of new products.
To conclude, we will provide a comprehensive discussion of newly industry research/development/product of Fog/Edge computing.
