臺灣的戒嚴時期,還是在1996年政府決定鎮壓幾個團體的時候,還是在中國大陸,當局不認可的宗教和心靈團體都被貼上了 #邪教 的標籤。這個說法在英文中常被翻譯成 “cult(異端的宗教信仰或崇拜)”,或 “xie jiao(邪教)”,但翻譯並不準確,而且有些不合時宜。
There is, however, another possibility. Both in Taiwan, during the Martial Law period and when the government decided to crack down on several groups in 1996, and in Mainland China, religious and spiritual movements the authorities do not approve of are labeled xie jiao. The expression is often translated in English as “cults,” or “evil cults,” but the translation is not precise and somewhat anachronistic.
Wu Junqing, a research fellow at London University, has published several studies on the history of the notion of xie jiao, including the book Mandarins and Heretics (Leiden: Brill, 2017). While other scholars date the introduction of xie jiao as a political and legal category to the Ming era, Wu shows that it first appeared, with the meaning of “heterodox teachings,” in the writings of Fu Yi (554–639), who called for the eradication of Buddhism during the Tang dynasty. In the subsequent Song (960–1279) and Yuan (1279–1368) dynasties, xie jiao was used to call for the destruction of new religious movements banned under the common label of “White Lotus.” With the Ming dynasty (1368–1644), xie jiao became a legal concept, and lists of xie jiao started being compiled, a practice continued by the Qing dynasty (1644–1912), Republican, and Communist China, and which also influenced Taiwan.

【Can we value good journalism more?】#雙語文章
English:
Instant news, out-of-context headlines and social media posts are capable of giving information on an event, incident or conflict. But these messages will only be like scattered pieces of knowledge compiled in our head without any meaning and connection.
In contrast, good journalism, on which critical thinking and media literacy are built, is supposed to provide more context and make readers feel, think, and care.
So, before the tech giants tighten their grip on the news industry, we need to take action to financially support the media we respect and trust, value the good work they put into, and never take good stories for granted. →

HISTORY ABOUT MIX
AND WHAT IS MIX ?
READ THIS ARTICLE
Chant mix, or commonly referred to as MIX, is normal in an idol group concert. Shouting from the fans seemed to burn the spirit of the idols who were performing on stage. Of course, the chant mix "Tiger Fire Cyber Fiber Diver Viber Jya-Jya" is no stranger to the ears of idol fans in any part of the world. However, how can these words be created and who is the creator?
As quoted from the Hatena Diary blog, which was published on March 3, 2005, MIX was created by a group of 5 people called "EVEL". Two of them, nicknamed "Kurofuku" and "Zenkyo" were allegedly the spearheads of the group. The collection of words was created accidentally when they were on the move.
On June 20, 1992, Kurofuku and Zenkyo were at Tiger Road, Atsuta, Nagoya, both shouting "Tiger Fire". Two years later, precisely on December 28, 1994, they began to forward the two words into the full version. Finally, December 28 is now designated as "Birthday of the MIX".
Apparently, the Japanese version of MIX has a hidden meaning behind a series of sentences that seem to be compiled from classical Japanese. "Tora no Gotoku, Hi no Gotoku, Hito no Tsukurazaru, Sensai na Kokoro mo Ishin to Nareba, Umo o Nomi Onna o Kurafu, Sono Shindou o Kokoro no Aru no ni ni Keshinshi, Honrai Sensai na Kokoro o Tobashi Setsuna ni Omofu no Mama Nozokisaru, Kore Onore ni Chuujitsu, Setsuna na Kiza no Nagare ni Mi o Makaserunomi, Korekoso Takamari no Shinzui Nari ". Then the sentence is abbreviated to "Tora, Hi, Jinzou, Sen'i, Ama, Shindou, Kasen Tobi Jyokyo" as it is known today.
The sentence means something like "Like a tiger and fire, a soft heart that cannot be made by humans, if it has changed they will drink water and eat women. Turn into a vibration in the heart. A heart that is initially soft will be ignored and disappear from the memory for a moment. This is what is believed, this instantaneous stroke will disappear by itself. Therefore the heart will become strong.
Initially, the MIX was only used in rock or metal music concerts. And allegedly began to be used at idol concerts in 1995 when a group named Melody appeared on stage.
After Melody broke up, EVEL members began to rarely come to idol concerts. They inherit the MIX they made to the next generation called "Enchou" and "Master Amameru". Enchou began to spread the MIX to the idol ZONE group concert with several of his fans. After that, he and his four new colleagues spread the MIX again at the ZONE, Bon-Bon Blanco and SUNFLOWER concerts.
The MIX just started to be used in the AKB48 theater after the top otaku "Baka Shisho" introduced the MIX to AKB48 fans. And finally various kinds of MIX came along with the increasing number of otaku numbers in Japan and the diverse concepts of idol groups like today.
At the end, they reminded that the story that mentions that the MIX was made by fans of Hello! Project, AKB48, or Seiyuu are incorrect. Until now, the official identity of the fifth EVEL member is unknown.
