I am so thankful being guitar teacher. When I see my Skype lesson students review note, this makes me so happy!! Thanks so much everyone!! 🌈🙏❤️🎵
.
. ////Hey my friend, thank you again for yesterday’s lesson! I really enjoyed it and it was very motivating! You showed me an exercise where you kind of went up chromatically with a specific finger pattern, you remember? Would you mind sending me a sheet for that? You told me that you have one. Other than that, this is my summary from yesterday’s lesson:
Amplification
Tilt your amp slightly so you hear yourself properly
Set it up properly so it cuts through the mix (Bass 4, Mids 6, Treble 😎
Kemper Amp is good for a variety of sounds but a tube amp is good for your sound
Overdrive Pedals
It’s good to have two OD pedals with two different gauges of gain
Pedal Distortion is more convenient and easier to set up because of volume issues
Good Pedals don’t change the general tone of your guitar and your playing but add gain and embrace the overtones
Being depressed/ unmotivated
„When you have to go to bed but you’re not tired, you have two options: Either you wait and you will eventually get tired, or you go to bed and see what happens…“ Keep in mind that playing guitar is your job!
Practice simple/ foundational things like groove and timing/ things that will get you in the mood
When you’re not able to develop the feel for it, practice purely technical stuff
Practice
Have a set list of things you always do like bending, rhythm, timing, groove, etc…
Dynamics
If 100% is the peak of your volume you might turn the volume down just a little. But from there it’s possible to play softer and expand the dynamic range in the lower register.
Practice different patterns or lines with different dynamics
251
You only need 3-4 different lines that you expand upon.
Take one line and try to squeeze the most amount of potential out of it
Practice the same line in all keys

Final tips for Paper 3 Listening and Integrated Skills
Part A
善用Preparation time. 透過context包括instructions , headings, bullet points 估計可能的 answers. 一定要留意以下的grammatical constraints:
1) article(a/an/ the)
2)quantifiers( many / much /few / little...)
3)that clause ( the fact that svo/ the myth that svo) ( 2015 task 4)
從上述各項可決定答案應是a singular noun phrase or noun phrase or a clause. Grammar 錯了,忘記pluralize the answers 必定失分. Eg Our parents/ subjects(2012). 相反,a browser 不可加's'(2012)
Sentence completion 題一定要留意parts of speech. 很多時要轉詞性. 留意句字context.有時甚至須要轉字。eg they decided they needed a singer= they made a decision to find a singer. (2015 task 3). 填need 一定冇分!
如果answers 涉及深字。下句或下兩句必定用淺字解䆁,take 淺字便可. Speaker's attitude字眼通常不㑹直接出現於原文.
善用tidy-up time. 要整句來看,確保所填answers make sense 及grammatically correct.
Part B
重㸃温習Tips class P Chan's mock paper( Overseas studies/ letter of adjustment/ businesslike email)( Kelly Ching of B-town)
Part B 很有機會出Feature Article,defensive letter, Editorial ,Proposal 及,businesslike email。
細閲這上述的5** samples.
Note-taking skills留意各項signals:
1) words for elaboration
2) words for clarification
3)words for confirmation
4) words asking for explanation
5) words implying another point
揾points 前一定要把MM和II一同看。確認所有instructions 才開始搵。毎個task會涉及3至4頁data file. 留意title 的synonyms.通常每個task content 部分可分三段寫。記住key words 要出現於topic sentence.要有恰當的introduction 及conclusion.一定要留register(行文風格)。留意the audience and genre( 體裁)便知要formal or less formal or informal style,或是否要用businesslike tone 等等。
熟讀各種文體formats(P12至23)其中 Proposal ,Editorial, Feature article 最重要。Defensive letter 留意direct/indirect reply. Programme review 留意5種order. Business like email 留意格式及語氣。每個task 必須要25minutes 内完成。
熟讀generalization skills P8( Last lesson ) 非常重要。重點留意quantity, frequency and probability. 細閲P Chan's mock paper 5** samples ( last lesson) 。表達時要留意3 Cs 技巧。加油!
Seize the day , make your life extraordinary!

#Confirmation: Perivascular Adipose Tissue = #FatAroundTheHeart is a Relevant Fat Depot for Cardiovascular Risk in Obesity
Review highlights that "several studies have substantiated that obesity confers an independent and additive risk of all-cause and cardiovascular death, there is significant variability in these associations, with some lean individuals developing diseases and others remaining healthy despite severe obesity, the so-called metabolically healthy obese."
"Part of this variability has been attributed to the heterogeneity in both the distribution of body fat and the intrinsic properties of adipose tissue depots, including developmental origin, adipogenic and proliferative capacity, glucose and lipid metabolism, hormonal control, thermogenic ability, and vascularization. In obesity, these depot-specific differences translate into specific fat distribution patterns, which are closely associated with differential cardiometabolic risks," the authors elaborate and explain: "The adventitial fat layer, also known as perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT), is of major importance. Similar to the visceral adipose tissue, PVAT has a pathophysiological role in CVDs. PVAT influences vascular homeostasis by releasing numerous vasoactive factors, cytokines, and adipokines, which can readily target the underlying smooth muscle cell layers, regulating the vascular tone, distribution of blood flow, as well as angiogenesis, inflammatory processes, and redox status. In this review, we summarize the current knowledge and discuss the role of PVAT within the scope of adipose tissue as a major contributing factor to obesity-associated cardiovascular risk."
In the review, "[r]elevant clinical studies documenting the relationship between PVAT dysfunction and CVD with a focus on potential mechanisms by which PVAT contributes to obesity-related CVDs are pointed out."

The model showcased is the TRD Sportivo spec version of the Rush SUV. The top-trim TRD Sportivo comes with badges, side-body plastic cladding and 17-inch alloy wheels on the outside and gets soft-touch materials in the dual-tone cabin. The new Toyota Rush SUV features keyless entry, push-button start and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system (reverse parking camera incorporated), which is compatible with USB, radio, CD player and smartphone connectivity through Miracast and Weblink.
On the safety front, the Toyota Rush comes with six-airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, and hill start assist. As for the engine specifications, the 2018 Toyota Rush is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine producing 104bhp and 140Nm of torque. The engine is married either to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to the rear wheels.
Toyota will begin sales of the new Rush SUV in Indonesia from January 2018, and there is no official confirmation if it will be introduced in India. That said, the Rush SUV seems to be an excellent competitor to the Hyundai Creta and the newly launched Renault Captur with its premium features and the USP of 7-seater configuration.
