Thuỷ tìm cảm hứng từ những ‘người phụ nữ hiện đại mạnh mẽ, cởi mở, với lối sống đô hội, luôn sẵn sàng đấu tranh giữ lấy hạnh phúc của mình’. Bộ sưu tập Lúng Liếng (2015) của cô được gợi ý từ hình ảnh những người phụ nữ trong các tác phẩm hội hoạ thế kỷ XX như bức tranh cô gái mặc áo dài của Mai Trung Thứ, hoặc từ bức "Ngày Chủ nhật" của Nguyễn Tiến Chung. Đồng thời, bộ sưu tập cũng được truyền cảm hứng từ hai đại danh hoạ của thế kỷ XX là Pablo Picasso và Piet Mondrian. Ứng dụng in ấn hiện đại và đính kết thủ công, các mẫu thiết kế này phản ánh mối tương quan song hành của truyền thống và hiện đại, là dẫn dụ cho vai trò đang ngày một đổi khác của phụ nữ ở Việt Nam.

Thủy finds inspiration from ‘strong contemporary women, who have very open minds, lead a cosmopolitan lifestyle and are prepared to fight for their own happiness’. Her Lúng Liếng (Wicked Gestures) collection (2015), is inspired by paintings of women by 20th century Vietnamese artists such as the untitled print of Mai Trung Thứ and "The Sunday" of Nguyễn Tiến Chung. This collection also took inspiration from 20th century international master painters Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondrian. With its innovative printing and embroidering techniques and traditional forms, the Lúng Liếng collection reflects the dichotomous relationship between the traditional and modern, attesting to the changing role of women in Vietnam.
