Today's haul is this wireless portable car vacuum cleaner that I got from @shopee_my

It comes in black, white and green.

It was on sale at RM41.90 (NP: RM169.90) and I paid RM33.43 from using voucher and coins 🙃

Fully charge maybe needs 3-4 hours but I charge it for awhile for a test for this video. It can clean most small items on this grill rail (yeah instead of using brush to dig em all out even if it's economical). This does exactly what it should. Don't expect it to be working like heavy duty vacuum cleaner though.

Convenient and easy to use (easy to clean too).

I recently took a solo day trip to Maokong Village in Taipei, Taiwan. It was a nice opportunity to step away from the city and to fully immerse myself in the beauty of nature.

My intention for the month of August was deep rest, and as a practice, I've been making it a priority to explore more of this island and to do things that bring me joy. There's so much more to life than just work but because we live in the society that we do, it's easy to get caught up in just trying to survive.

I hope that these silent vlogs can be a simple reminder of the little things in life~

【サクサクちくわの磯辺フライ】
今日は、簡単なお手軽バッター液で作る『サクサクちくわの磯辺フライ』を作りました！ちくわフライは間違いなく美味しいですが、やっぱりサクサクの衣がいいですよね！
このこのレシピなら簡単で手間なしでしっかりサクサクに仕上がります。
油も少量で揚げ焼きでできるので、お手軽！衣は触ると取れやすいので、カリッとしたら優しく転がして面を変えて、またカリッとしたら優しく転がして面を変えて...と全体をサクサクにしてください。ぜひお試しいただけると嬉しいです！

〈材料〉５本分
ちくわ 5本
☆小麦粉 大さじ1と1/2
☆マヨネーズ 大さじ1
☆水 大さじ1
★パン粉大さじ5
★青海苔 大さじ1/2

【Chikuwa fried】
Today, I made "Chikuwa fried" which is made with simple and easy breading liquid! Chikuwa fried food is definitely delicious, but after all crispy batter is good!
With this recipe, it's easy and hassle-free, and it's crispy.
It's easy because you can fry a small amount of oil! The batter is easy to remove when touched, so if it is crispy, gently roll it to change the surface, and if it is crispy, gently roll it to change the surface to make the whole crispy.

〈INGREDIENT〉for5
5 chikuwa
☆ 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of flour
☆ 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
☆ 1 tablespoon of water
★ 5 tablespoons of bread crumbs

Maguro means Tuna, Zuke means to marinate, and Don is short for Donburi which means rice bowl. Marinated fresh Sashimi-grade tuna served on a rice bowl. Quick yet delicious!

You can of course use Salmon, scallop, or any other Sashimi-grade fish instead! Enjoy :)

Maguro Zuke Don (Marinated Tuna Fish Rice Bowl)

Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 15min
Number of servings: 1

Ingredients:
90g (3.2oz) Sashimi Grade Yellowfin Ahi Tuna
1/2 tbsp. Sake
1/2 tbsp. Mirin (sweet Sake)
1 tbsp. soy sauce
Wasabi if you like
1 bowl of rice
Kizaminori (shredded Nori sheet)
green onions and/or Shiso leaf
toasted white sesame seeds

Directions:
1. In a small pot, boil down Sake and Mirin to reduce the alcohol content.
2. Add soy sauce and Wasabi, then mix well. (Wasabi will be not spicy if you mix and leave for a while, so kids can eat it with only nice Wasabi aroma.)
3. Marinate tuna Sashimi and put in the fridge for about 10 minutes. (Do not marinate too long or tuna will be salty.)
4. Meanwhile, put rice in a rice bowl and leave to cool. (Cold rice is better because it won't warm up the fish.)
5. Put Kizaminori on the rice, arrange Tuna sashimi, garnish with green onions or Shiso leaves, and sprinkle with toasted white sesame seeds. You can place a bit of fresh Wasabi on top if you like.
