浮小麥湯補虛止汗
人緊張時容易出手汗,是因為交感神經過度緊張所致,屬於正常生理反應。但如果不分晝夜長時間出手汗,情緒緊張時手汗情況加劇,就要注意身體狀況,因為長時間流失津液會令身體變虛,而且手汗多、帶着汗臭味很影響患者的社交生活,亦有機會引致汗皰疹等皮膚症狀。
不同體質人士都會出現手汗多的情況,如果伴隨症狀為面色偏白、容易頭暈、舌邊有齒痕、聲音弱小、容易感冒、腹部經常脹滿、小便頻密、大便質軟但排便費力,便屬於氣虛體質,宜健脾補氣,每天喝米水或適量進食淮山、白扁豆,薏米、人參、小米、薯仔、紅棗等補氣健脾食物,亦可適量飲用加入浮小麥的湯水,浮小麥有止汗功效,能斂虛汗,並有益氣、養心及除熱作用。
食材小貼士:
北芪又名黃芪,性溫,有補虛益氣、強心護肝的功效,適合氣血不足、容易感冒、脾虛腹瀉人士服用;陰虛火旺、氣滯腹脹者忌吃。
北芪浮小麥小米湯
功效:健脾益氣、固表歛汗,紓緩因體虛而出現多汗症狀。
材料:鮮淮山1根、粟米2根、北芪15克、黨參15克、浮小麥30克、小米1/2米杯(或朝米水粉一包)、蜜棗2枚
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,鮮淮山去皮切大塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入2500毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調文火煮1.5小時,最後下鹽調味即可。

Blighted wheat soup to replenish deficiency and prevent sweating
When we panic, our palms tend to sweat easily due to the activation of our nervous system. Even though it is a normal biological reaction, we have to start monitoring our body if we have excessively sweaty palms for extended periods.
Excessive moisture loss from the body can weaken the body. Sweaty palms and unpleasant body odor can also affect our social life and cause skin diseases such as dyshidrosis.
Individuals with different body constitutions can develop sweaty palms. Individuals who are qi-deficient will develop the accompanying symptoms such as pale complexion, dizziness, teeth mark on the tongue, weak speaking voice, prone to catching a cold, regular abdominal bloating, frequent urination, and need to use a lot of strength to pass motion, even though the stools are loose.
Qi-deficient individuals should focus on strengthening their spleen and nourish their qi. Drink rice water and consume an adequate amount of Chinese yam, white hyacinth bean, coix seed, ginseng, millet, potato, and red date that can help nourish the qi and strengthen the spleen. We can also add blighted wheat into our soup, as this particular ingredient can reduce sweating. It is also good for the qi, can calm our mind, and clear the heat from our body.
Tips on ingredient:
Astragalus root is warm in nature. It can improve deficiencies, nourish qi, strengthen the heart and protect the liver. Suitable for those with qi and blood deficiency, prone to cold/flu, asthenic spleen and diarrhea. Those with yin deficiency with excess fire, qi stagnation and abdominal bloating should not eat.
Astragalus root and blighted wheat soup with millet
Effects: Strengthens the spleen and nourishes qi. Strengthens the body and reduces sweating. Relieves symptoms of excessive sweating.
Ingredients: 1 fresh Chinese yam, 2 ears of corn, 15g astragalus root, 15g codonopsis root, 30g blighted wheat, 1/2 cup millet (or 1 pack of dawn rice water powder), 2 candied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel the Chinese yam and cut into large chunks. Remove husks from corn (keep silk) and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1.5 hours. Add salt to taste.

Q:坐月食療目的是補身嗎?
A:不是每天進食大量滋補湯水就叫坐好個月,中醫理論認為產婦於坐月期間需按個別體質情況調養,尤其補身前要先健脾胃,因為脾胃功能好才能吸收食材中的營養,有助母乳生成及身體復原,盲目進補只會加重脾胃負擔,補過頭不但容易增磅,亦容易令體質上火,出現便秘、口乾舌燥等症狀。
Q:坐月該吃甚麼?
A:坐月宜多吃多餐,一日五至六餐最適宜,進食清淡而富營養的食物,宜選屬性平和的食材,以蒸、煮、燉、燜為主,讓脾胃更容易吸收,避免生冷及屬性寒涼飲食,可按體質適量於餐單加添補氣血食材如陳皮、沙參、玉竹、黨參、太子參等,並且飲用有健脾胃功效的湯水。
Q:坐月為甚麼要喝炒米茶/炒米水?
A:喝米水是中醫的傳統智慧,以紅米、白米、薏米調配而成的米水能健脾胃,有助身體復原,而炒米水健脾胃之餘也能暖胃袪寒。產婦產後即可飲用炒米水,先不用添加紅棗、陳皮或其他藥材,以免太熱氣。如身體有偏熱症狀如有痔瘡、口瘡、盜汗、喉嚨痛等則宜飲屬性平和的米水 。哺乳媽媽尤其需要水分才會有足夠的母乳,所以每天宜多喝暖水及米水。
Q:坐月期間水腫了,是否因為喝太多湯水?
A:產後出現水腫症狀如腳跟忽然腫脹多因產時失血過多,正氣耗損,加上脾胃虛弱而致,水濕滯留不去而產生,主要表現為面色偏黃,面目手足或四肢浮腫,可飲用有茯苓、陳皮、扁豆衣的水腫腫茶、紅豆米水紓緩症狀。
Q:薑醋除了派給親友,產婦可以吃嗎?
A:中醫理論認為「產後體質多虛多瘀」,薑醋有袪風散寒、活血袪瘀的功效,自然分娩產婦可於十二朝後開始進食,而剖腹產婦宜於產後20至30日,待惡露排清後進食。要注意薑醋適合虛寒體質的產婦食用,體質偏熱的產婦則少吃為妙,可以喝一兩口醋而不吃薑。

Q:Are confinement meals meant to nourish the body?
A: An effective postnatal care is not just about nourishing the body. Chinese Medicine theories believe that women need to customize confinement plans based on their body conditions.
Before nourishing the body, it is important to strengthen the spleen and stomach first. A good spleen and stomach can only absorb the nutrients from the confinement meals and help moms boost milk production and recuperate faster.
Consuming nourishing ingredients without understanding their needs would only add on to the burden of the spleen and stomach. An over-nourished person would not only gain weight more easily but also cause heat to accumulate in the body, accompanying symptoms include constipation and dry mouth and tongue.
Q:What should we eat during confinement?
A: It is best to eat more meals. Five to six meals a day would be ideal. Eat light foods that are rich in nutrients, but do opt for ingredients that are mild in nature.
The best ways to prepare each meal are steaming, cooking, stewing, and simmering, as the spleen and stomach can better absorb the nutrients from the ingredients.
Avoid raw and cold foods as well as those that are cool in nature. According to the individual’s body constitution, add ingredients that can nourish qi and blood, such as dried citrus peel, glehnia root, polygonatum odoratum, codonopsis root, and pseudostellaria heterophylla root. Having soups that can strengthen the spleen and stomach is also good for mothers during confinement.
Q:Why should mothers during confinement drink fried rice tea/fried rice water?
A: The practice of drinking rice water comes from the wisdom of Chinese Medicine. Rice water made from red rice, white rice, and coix seed can strengthen the spleen and stomach and help the body recuperate faster.
Likewise, fried rice water can also strengthen the spleen and stomach. It can even warm the stomach and dispel cold from the body. Women who have just given birth can drink fried rice water immediately.
For those with heat-related symptoms such as hemorrhoid, canker sores, night sweats, and sore throat, it is best to drink rice water that is mild in nature. Mothers who breastfeed need to regularly hydrate the body to ensure constant milk production. Hence, it is best to drink more warm water and rice water daily.
Q:Does drinking soup cause edema during confinement?
A: Symptoms such as swelling on the ankles after delivering are due to excessive blood loss during childbirth. When the qi in the body is damaged and the spleen and stomach weaken, dampness can more easily stagnate in the body.
Other related symptoms include yellowish complexion and the swelling of the face, eyes, and limbs. You can drink herbal teas that contain poria, dried orange peel, and hyacinth bean coat to get rid of water retention. Red bean rice water could also relieve the symptoms.
Q:Besides giving ginger vinegar to friends and family members, can new mothers consume them?
A: Ginger vinegar can dispel wind and cold from the body and at the same time, invigorate the blood and clear blood stasis in the body. Likewise, Chinese Medicine believes that a woman’s body experience deficiency and blood stasis after childbirth.
Hence, new mothers who have gone through natural birth can start taking ginger vinegar after twelve days, whereas those opted for C-section can consume it after 20 to 30 days (or after the lochia discharge has ceased).
Ginger vinegar is suitable for new mothers with a cold body constitution, so individuals with a heaty body should avoid consuming it excessively. It is fine to take a sip of the vinegar but avoid eating the ginger.

●水:約350ml(お湯と水合わせた量)

※味の濃さは350ml足した後に味見してからお好みに調整して下さい。
※辛みが苦手な方は豆板醤を味噌に変えてもOK
※鶏油は温度が低いと固まってしまうのでスープを冷蔵保存する場合や氷で冷やす場合は食べる直前にかけて下さい。(冷蔵で約1か月保存可能です)

[Ingredients]
● Somen noodles: 200g
● Mirin: 2 tablespoons
● Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
● Chicken broth: 2 teaspoons
● SOMI shantung: 1 teaspoon (you can also use Weipa)
● Sugar: 1 teaspoon (you can use lakanto to reduce the sugar content)
● Dou ban jiang: 1 teaspoon (gochujang is also okay)
● Bonito powder: 1 to 2 teaspoons
● Chicken oil or sesame oil: as desired
● Water: About 350ml (hot and cold water combined)
● Black pepper, white pepper, small green onion, Ra-yu to taste
※Taste after adding 350ml and adjust the taste to your liking.
※If you don't like the spiciness, you can replace Dou ban jiang with miso.
※Chicken oil hardens at low temperatures, so if you refrigerate it, pour it over the soup just before eating. (It can be refrigerated for about a month)

市販のカップスープの素を使ってカリッとしていて 甘じょっぱいクッキーを作りました。
ビールやワインのおつまみや甘いものがあまり得意じゃない方へのプレゼントにも良いと思います。コンポタとかぼちゃスープ味、病みつきになる。新ジャンルクッキー登場か!?
*レシピ*(直径 4.5センチ 28枚分)
1.室温に戻した無塩バター 50gに砂糖(粉砂糖)40gを混ぜる。
2.薄力粉 100gをフルイ入れ混ぜる。
3.2を2等分(各94g)にする。
4.3のそれぞれに刻んだピーナッツ 25g、クノール カップスープの素 コーンクリーム(18g)と栗かぼちゃのポタージュ(19g)をそれぞれに 1袋づつ、各 牛乳 小さじ 1 づつを加え混ぜる。
5.ひとまとまりにし、冷蔵庫で30分ほど冷やす。
6.2種類それぞれを14等分(各1個あたり10g)にし、指で潰しながら丸く直径 4センチほどに整える。コーンクリームの方に乾燥バジルや乾燥パセリを振っても良い。
7.170度に予熱したオーブンで13~15分焼く。今回、途中前後入れ替えし、13分30秒焼きました。
8.でけた。
どちらもおいしい。コンポタ味の方がカリッと感 強めです。
ネットで知った紙コップを使った鍋みたいなラッピングをしてみました。
紙コップは100円ショップ キャンドゥで買った205mlの物を使いました。
飲み口が4等分になるように各5センチの切り込みを入れる。
飲み口から2.5センチ部分を切り落とす(飲み口部分、後で使います)。
そこから更に8等分になるように各2.5センチ、4箇所に切込みを入れる。
真ん中より少し上に4個所穴をあける。
紙コップの飲み口部分(4等分の長さ)を利用して取っ手をつける。
中の余った部分は折ってテープで留める。
ラップで包んだクッキー3枚を中に入れ、折り込んでフタにし、テープでしっかり留める。
鍋蓋のつまみ(100円ショップ キャンドゥで購入)を付けて、できあがり!
鍋の高さは3センチです。
Using the Knorr instant cup soup mix, we made some crispy, sweet and salty cookies. This is a great gift idea for someone who likes to drink beer or wine, or someone who doesn't eat sweets.
The corn potage and pumpkin soup flavors are sure to be addictive. Is this a new genre of cookies!?
*Recipe* (Makes 28 4.5cm diameter cookies)
1. Mix together 50g of unsalted butter left at room temperature with 40g of sugar (powdered sugar).
2. Sieve 100g of plain flour into the mixture.
3. Divide the contents of step 2 into two portions (94g each).
4. Add 25g of peanuts and 18g of Knorr instant corn cream soup mix into one portion, and 19g of chestnut pumpkin potage into the other mixture. Place each mixture into separate bags. Add 1 teaspoon of milk into each mixture and mix together.
5. Shape each mixture into one piece and let it cool in the fridge for 30 minutes.
6. Cut the two types into 14 pieces (10g per piece), and make them into 4cm diameter balls by squashing them with your fingers. You can sprinkle dried basil or dried parsley on the corn cream ones.
7. Bake in a 170 degree preheated oven for 13 to 15 minutes. I switched the front and back batches midway and baked for 13 minutes and 30 seconds for this batch.
8. Done.
Both taste great. The corn potage flavor has a stronger texture.
We tried wrapping them like a pot using paper cups using 205ml paper cups sold at a 100 yen shop called Can Do.
Make 5cm long slits in the cup to make 4 rims.
Cut off 2.5cm from the rim (this will be used later).
Make further 2.5cm slits into 4 places to make it into 8 pieces.
Above the middle, make 4 holes.
Using the rim of a paper cup (4 equal lengths) put on a handle.
Secure the remaining part in the middle by folding it and putting a tape over it.
Place 3 cookies wrapped in plastic wrap inside and fold inside and make a lid, and secure with tape.
Attach the knob of the pot lid (sold at the 100 yen shop Can Do), and it is done!
The pot is 3cm tall.
