Overview:
Malaysia's tertiary, TVET and higher education system has been battered by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected not just finances and student numbers but the very foundations of the mission, vision and values of the system.
Do Malaysian universities deliver on their core mission? What is that mission? Do students get a fulfilling experience that equips them for life or even the future of work? Are academics respected, well prepared and supported in their mission?
What alternative models are available and how can the Malaysian tertiary, TVET and higher education system be reformed to face the future?
This webinar by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Malaysia will bring together thought leaders in Malaysian higher education and TVET along with graduates who have recently experienced alternative systems to share their views on the future of work and education and the possibilities of reform.
(Registration is required. Zoom Meeting ID and passcode will be sent via email.)

It’s a great honor to be selected as Girls in Tech 40 Under 40 at Women's Day! Thank you for the recognition.
Ten years ago, I came to the U.S. for a master degree. At class, my English was so poor, and I couldn’t understand anything in class. Professor said, there is a participation score, which means if you don’t ask question, you don’t have the score. How can you ask questions? I wrote down questions in advance, and listen to keywords – I got a question about return on investment! Then I asked the question. Of course, I didn’t understand the answer, but I got my score.
Before I graduated, I tried to do networking with company executive. I found the email a VP of Fortune 100 company, as a stranger, I emailed him, asking if he can meet me for coffee. Surprisingly, he said yes! When I met with him, he asked, “do you know why I met with you?”…no…”because there are not many people who have the courage to ask for meeting with me!”
Ladies, you don’t make mistake; mistake made you. Mistake are the portals of Discovery! Be Bold, Be Brave and Be Courageous!
