So i was at an event tonite n i saw this beautiful lady walking towards my table and as she came closer i recognized her as a face from the past. She was my english teacher in form 5. Cikgu Mareena. when i was in form 4 i wanted to take up English Literature for my SPM but that year the only school in johor that had that subject was an all girls school. I had no issues to be the only boy there but the school had some issues with that. So i made a few phone calls to inquire, forged my mothers signature and asked to be transferred to shah alam as i had a brother who was staying there and it seemed like a good idea to move in with him and as luck was on my side there was a school near to his place that offered that subject. So there i was a new student in a school called "Sekolah Menengah Project Seksyen 11, Shah Alam" . This school had 2 special programs for students that excel in English or Sports.. But after i enrolled i then found out in the whole area i was the only student taking literature as a subject for SPM and so they did not have the program available for my year and i had to study the course on my own .Since ive set on that path i did pursue that subject with the help and guidance of my Teacher Mareena. you see in this school theres a couple of teachers that was kinda like michelle pfeiffer in gangsters paradise., they really wanted their students to go out there and excel, be someone chase their dreams. The ones i can remember is Puan Zaleha and @mareena69 i remembered how they were far more excited than i was when i came to collect my SPM results. Coz many predicted i was gonna fail but i got Gred 1. N after so many years we meet and as i kissed her hands she told me she remembered i wanted to be on CNN and she told me to strive for it. and everytime she sees me on screen traveling she feels so ever proud and she hopes tht my dream will come true.. You see, many times more than once there has been a few or shall a say many who comes up and admits to have been there supporting and witnessing ones ups and downs but in truth only a few that actually made a difference.. I hold back tears as im typing this out tonite for your encouragement cikgu is one of those things that got me to where i am today n hopefully further. It felt weird but weird in a good way as an adult i clenched her hands and salam cium tangan. Terima Kasih Cikgu. Please know that you did make a difference in this boys life.. 一日为师 终身为父。。
