每次回台灣的時候, 我都很樂意幫親友帶東西回去. 但我發現, 可能是台灣的宅配服務真的是太方便了, 下單後隔天收到物品是基本的服務, 所以台灣的朋友不太了解美國網購的運送狀況.
我在這邊解釋一下好了.
美國的運送不像台灣那麼快速. 一般運送方式的話(叫做ground service, ground就是走陸運), 通常都是要下單後5-7天才收的到東西. 最快可能2天可以收到(如果東西是從鄰近的州所寄出). 若是要更快的運送服務(快捷, 叫做expedited shipping), 那需要多加錢.
所以, 像我在Gap上買衣服, 若是在周一下單, 差不多也是要到下個周一, 才能收到衣服(看衣服是從哪裡寄出的).
所以, 我在幫親友買東西時, 都需要掐掐手指, 看看東西能不能如期收到. 對於不熟的店家(我不常在上面買東西的店家), 更要採取保守的估計.
