Despite the demands of everyday life, I try to make use of every opportunity for the kids to be creative, be free to invent and engage in imaginative play. They never fail to amaze me with all the fun ideas and innovative games they can come up with; all I had to do was to let them try. Or better still, try with them.
Recently, we did something exciting together and transformed a space in our home into a colourful, inviting playground. It was so much fun starting from the brainstorming of ideas and doing of the DIY props to the dressing up and pretend play. I am usually their audience but this time, I decided to be a part of the cast and I think that meant a lot to the kids as we transported ourselves to places which only existed in our dreams, and for a moment, let the impossible become possible.
