Thực ra bọn mình rất hay né các quán mà đc đăng bài dồn dập, bởi bây giờ pr vs review thật giả lẫn lộn khá nhiều :< Lúc đi ăn ở quán này C cũng ko đặt nhiều hi vọng cho lắm, nhưng sau khi đã đc nếm thử thì 2 đứa có thể nói rằng nó xứng đáng vs sự ca ngợi của mn 🤭
Quán nhỏ hơn C tưởng nhiều, lúc đến là 8h sáng mà quán đông nghịt khách cả 3 tầng luôn 😯 Bọn mình gọi 2 tô đặc biệt 1 nước 1 khô, ngồi chờ tới lượt tầm gần 10p mới có ăn cơ. Ấn tượng đầu tiên khi tô hủ tiếu xuất hiện là mùi hương ngào ngạt, thơm ngọt của nước dùng và chút điểm nhấn của tỏi phi vàng ruộm. Các tô có nhân giống nhau : 1 con mực ống khá to, 1 con tôm sú đã bóc vỏ, 1 miếng chả thịt, 2 quả trứng cút lòng đào.
Lấy thìa nếm thử chút nước dùng thì thật sự chúng mình khá bất ngờ vì độ ngọt và sự đậm đà của nước dùng từ xương vs hải sản. Khẩu vị của C hơi khác nên có nhận ra có chút vị ngọt của đường, nhưng hoàn toàn có thể chấp nhận được, ko hề gây ảnh hưởng đến tổng thể của món ☺️ Hải sản tươi rói, chín vừa tới, ăn thấy rõ vị ngọt thịt của mực vs giòn của tôm. Chả thịt băm cực kì thơm và mềm luôn, ko bị bã do đun quá lâu tí nào.
Giá của tô đặc biệt là 55k, với chất lượng của một tô hủ tiếu ngon như vậy với bọn mình thấy còn là rẻ 🤤 Rất xứng đáng với việc dậy sớm giữa mùa đông để đi ăn.

Tbh, we normally never go to those places that got reviewed continuously for many days. Cuz nowadays, it's quite hard to tell which one is pr and which one is real, srl :< We went to this place with really low expectation, but we after we've tried the food, we must say it DESERVED all of the compliments!
The place was smaller than I thought but filled with costumers in all 3 floors of the house at 8:AM 😶 We got 2 special bowls, 1 dry, 1 with broth. We had to wait for around 10 mins to get to our turn. First impression : the smell was phenomenal!!! Sweet, aromatic and a big note of fried golden brown garlic. Each bowl has 1 big squid, 1 peeled tiger prawn, 1 big pork patty, 2 poached quail eggs.
We tried the broth first and got blowned away because of its taste, so bold but yet so light, so elegant, the sweetness came from bones and seafood. I noticed that they did used a bit of sugar, but it's completely forgivable tho. Super fresh seafood, cooked to perfection, crunchy prawns, juicy squid ☺️ The meat patty tasted amazing too, so soft and flavourful.
The price for special bowl was 55k, for us that is even cheap if you compare it to the quality 🤤 100% worth waking early in winter's days for breakfast.

In this episode, we headed down to Coconut King Rice Village (translated from Mandarin) at Arc 380 to destroy a 4.5KG Lobster Nasi Lemak Challenge! Coconut King serves up Chinese-style Nasi Lemak with unique additions like Lobsters and Tiger Prawns. Nasi Lemak is a Malaysian and Singaporean dish which involves rice cooked in coconut milk and scented with pandan leaves served with sambal (chilli paste), fried anchovies, fried peanuts and a fried egg. Additional protein is usually added like fried chicken wings or sambal sotong (squid), all plated atop a banana leaf for extra fragrance. Coconut King does things slightly different, being Western-influenced as some of the proteins offered would not be out of place at a Western-style hawker like Chicken and Fish Cutlets.
Initially, we heard about their Ultimate Set platter that is already on their menu, containing 2 Prince Lobsters, 1 King Sotong, 1 Jumbo Chicken Cutlet, 1 Fillet Fish, 3 Otahs, 3 Eggs, Anchovies, Peanuts and 3 servings of Coconut Rice. However, we decided to upsize it even further, adding on 3 King Lobsters, 3 King Prawns and 3 more servings of Coconut Rice, forming a truly massive platter.
The lobsters and prawns were overcooked, but the owner was straightforward and apologetic with us, explaining that his Chef was nervous and missed the timer on the oven. The lobsters came with a few different sauces, the most interesting of which was the Signature Special Cheese, supposedly containing over 20 different ingredients. It made the rather tough lobster meat palatable. The sotong was steamed very well - plump and juicy with just the right amount of chewiness.
Surprisingly, the real stars of the platter would be the Jumbo Chicken Cutlet and Fish Fillet. They were crisp on the outside and exceptionally moist on the inside. The fish was perfectly seasoned and left me wanting for more, while the chicken was huge, true to its name. Of course, the real test of any Nasi Lemak is the sambal. Coconut King’s sambal passed with flying colours. It was on the sweet side with noticeable kick of spiciness without being too strong, perfectly pairing with everything on the plate.
A thoroughly enjoyable challenge which showed as I really took my time to complete it. Coconut King is a newly opened Nasi Lemak store. Their creativity and love of Nasi Lemak shines through as seen by their choice and quality of offerings. Do head over there for excellent Nasi Lemak!
