Allowed for Good Reason
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is today, to save many people alive.” (Genesis 50:20 WEB)
Sometimes when something bad is allowed to happen to you, even after you prayed in faith, trust that God allowed it for a good reason.
Your enemies may have intended evil towards you, but God permitted you to be placed exactly in this situation to bring about some form of good!
What you thought was for your harm, will actually turn out to be for your protection and promotion.
The harder the enemy tries to topple you, the more he ushers you towards possessing your inheritance in the promised land. This is divine irony, and it is hilariously wonderful for us!
Potiphar’s wife thought that she had set Joseph up to suffer, but it was actually God who allowed this to happen, so that Joseph could meet the chief butler at the right time. It was an awesome divine set up.
If you have read the story before, Joseph interpreted the chief butler’s prophetic dream, and this opened a way for him to meet Pharaoh in the palace, to interpret the king of Egypt’s dreams.
Without being sold into slavery and thrown into prison, Joseph would have never had developed the humility and faith needed to do his job well as the second-in-command of Egypt.
Without being in the prison at that time, Joseph would have never ended up in the palace. All the events in Joseph’s life, both good and bad, worked together for good.
There is a reason for every season of life. Treasure all the precious lessons you can because things are usually not as they initially seem.
Then what happens to your enemies who try to harm you? Haman built a gallows, hoping to get Mordecai hung on it. In the end, through the invisible hand of God’s intervention, Haman ended up being the one hung on the gallows. The enemy’s plans backfired on himself.
“Whoever digs a pit shall fall into it. Whoever rolls a stone, it will come back on him.” (Proverbs 26:27 WEB)
You have been predestined by God for greatness, and prepared so that you would enjoy great glory, rewards, and honor in the Messianic kingdom during the Millennium.
God works by times and seasons. At this time, people around you may even look down on you, but God sees you winning soon.
Prayerfully consider your situation now. Ask God to reveal anything He wants you to know for the next few steps you will take. He can lead you to the right place at the right time.

Read the Old Covenant of the Law Through the Lens of Grace
Here is a word of advice if you are attempting to study the Old Testament books yourself.
When you read them, don’t go in like a sponge that absorbs everything you read without any filter.
You may ask me, “Huh, why? I thought it’s in the Bible?”
Yes, but you must realize that not everything is written for you to apply under the New Covenant of Grace.
The Bible is also like a historical record, showing what God did, does, and will do throughout time.
It would be a mistake to try and apply something that was only meant for people who were living in a dispensation that is already over.
“You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;” (Colossians 2:13-14 WEB)
The Ten Commandments were written by the hand of God and they were nailed to the cross, crucified with Jesus.
So when you read books like Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy, don’t read it like you are trying to learn what to do and what not to do under the Old Covenant of the Law.
Instead, go in and hunt for revelations of Jesus hidden in the types and shadows. Every offering, every detail about the Tabernacle, was designed to reveal truths about God and Jesus Christ.
“Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.” (Luke 24:27 WEB)
As Jesus Himself said, the five books written by Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Leviticus, Deuteronomy), and the books of the prophets thereafter in the Old Testament, actually hint truths about the coming Messiah (Jesus Christ).
The truths in the New Testament could not be plainly written, if not the devil would know God’s plan of salvation for mankind and try to sabotage it. Therefore, these truths were hidden in hard-to-understand prophecies, types, and shadows.
“But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory, which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory.” (1 Corinthians 2:7-8 WEB)
Even though readers under the Old Covenant did not fully understand what was to come, they knew enough pieces, and they were expecting their Messiah to come and save them. It was enough to assure Israel that God will never abandon them.
The New Testament was given to us after the cross. The devil cannot undo the redemption that Christ purchased for us at the cross. The devil is also doomed, and time is just ticking until he eventually burns in the lake of fire with all those who reject Jesus Christ.
Today, we can read the Old Testament in a new light since we already know God’s plan of salvation. We can read it and say things like, “Oh, so God was hinting about Jesus through this portion of Scripture about the Law. I see it clearly now!”
I would love to show you what I learned from the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These books contain certain difficult pieces of Scripture that some have twisted to make people fearful and in bondage to the Law. Reading “Understand the Four Gospels Through the Lens of Grace” will free you from much wrong believing. I hope you get it and enjoy the eBooks: https://bit.ly/understandeveryparable

“Many others are also having the same problem. It’s normal, it’s ok.” This may be an excuse that the world uses, but not you child of God.
The Bible is full of characters who had problems but were delivered from them because of a faithful and gracious God!
Don’t identify with others to justify remaining in defeat. Instead, you can look at those who have a covenant relationship with God and expect the same blessings to be yours by the solid basis of covenant and not based something as shifting as feelings.
Abraham is our pattern for a blessed man. The Bible says that God had blessed him in all things. All means all.
Why was he blessed? It’s not because he was perfectly obedient to God. If you read his life story, he failed in major ways at times.
Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness. He became righteous through faith in Yahweh, just like us who became righteous through faith in Jesus Christ.
Abraham is a blessed man because he had the gift of righteousness, and because he believed in God’s promises, even if he wasn’t perfectly obedient all the time.
Hey, this sounds like you and I! If Abraham could have the testimony that he was blessed in all things, we can have that too if we just believe in a good God.
The Bible says that we are blessed together with believing Abraham. If you see defeat in any areas of your life, don’t use the commonness of this kind of defeat as an excuse to remain in it. Expect to be blessed in all things like Abraham was because you are righteous in Christ, and whoever is righteous is a blessed person who enjoys the favor of God!
