Known for his delicate hyperrealistic paintings, Lo Chan Peng had been busy with exhibitions in galleries, museums and art fairs within the country and overseas. His second cooperation with Acadia Contemporary Gallery was a huge success and his works have been acknowledged by Portrait Society of America and Art Renewal Center, bringing Taiwanese art to the international market.
It has been seven years since Lo Chan Peng’s previous solo exhibition dedicated to oil paintings, during this time he has been able to reflect on himself to create works which are even more technically challenging. Breaking away from the norm, his compositions, subject matter and painting styles indicate his progress and achievements in the Taiwanese history of art. Through the works on display in this solo exhibition, Lo’s canvases build a bridge between the past and the future, take the audience on a journey through time……
