Had such a wonderful Christmas spent with the loved ones at home. Candle, red wine and “fancy” Christmas dinner done by me. Nonetheless, I love my present! Nice presentation, perfect for parties. Kids can eat 👍

You can easily make this dish by cooking frozen food stocks. I used frozen Gyoza, broccoli, and Shimeji mushrooms. You can of course use your favorite vegetables 😉

Tomato Gyoza Nabe (Hot Pot with Dumplings) Recipe

Difficulty: Easy
Time: 40min
Number of servings: 4

Ingredients:

300g (10.5oz.) onion
200g (7.0oz.) frozen broccoli
200g (7.0oz.) Shimeji mushrooms
400g (14oz.) canned diced tomatoes
600ml water
3 consommé cubes https://amzn.to/2IIRMfI
2 tbsp. olive oil
salt and pepper
grated parmesan cheese if you like

Directions:
1. Slice onion into wedges.
2. Heat cooking oil in a pot. Add onion wedges and saute until tender.
3. Add canned diced tomatoes, water, and consommé cubes. Simmer until hot.
4. Add Shimeji mushrooms, Gyoza, and broccoli. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes until cooked through.
5. Season with salt and pepper. Serve in a dish and dust with grated parmesan cheese if you like.

第一必買, 木通果，或者日文akebi, 外型相當特別 The 1st best buy is akebi with unique appearance.

木通果喺 開花的季節會釋出朱古力的香氣 This fruit will release the aroma of chocolate during the flowering season.

外表紫色嘅木通果, 裏面白色肉十分甜滑 Outer skin is purple while white meat inside is very sweet and fleshy.

味道有點似椰子, 一般人不會食皮 The taste is a bit like a coconut. Usually people don't eat outer skin.

其實在日本東北料理中, 經常將皮外殼炸成一道菜 In fact, in the northeastern Japanese cuisine, the skin shell is often fried into a dish.

即使你未必會這樣做, 但是能夠知道別人的飲食文化 Even if you don't eat, you learn the food culture of others.

都是可以增廣見聞, 這種水果優點亦都好多 It can widen your knowledge and the fruits have a lot of advantages.
