Daily reminder: keep those crowns on your heads, queens! I've seen a lot of posts lately about y'all worrying about managing interpersonal drama or worrying how you're coming off to people, especially in the midst of a pandemic.
So here's my two cents.
As an empath and someone who just generally enjoys harmony, it took many years for me to understand that you can never be EVERYONE'S cup of tea. Heck, you can try to be the nicest person in the room - and someone's still going to have something to say.
I am blessed to be surrounded by a LOT of amazing and supportive people (a practice that also requires mindfulness and conscious curation), but in life there will always be a couple of vultures circling and hoping you'll fail. It's NORMAL. Human beings are fallible. Insecurity is one of the easiest emotions to be susceptible to.
But that's them. Not you. You just keep your eye on the prize, and you hold that gorgeous head high, and you remember who's queen of the jungle. Nobody can take away your power, confidence, and self-belief without your consent. As long as you're living authentically in strength and kindness, get your mind out of the vulture-wavelength, be frank and direct if you have to (or just ignore), and move on. Lions don't quibble with vultures. 👸🏻

This was such a special day for me. It was the day I returned to laugh at the very place I cried the most. I changed my narrative. I plan to come back many more times and make more happy memories there. As long as I have my children, I know everything will be alright. We have been and will continue to thrive. There's a saying in Chinese: "Once the word is out, even four horses can't chase it." Over the past few years, lots of changes have happened and many lessons learnt. One of them being I write in Chinglish now and can't remember what is proper English grammar.
With 8 years of my life placed into this channel, I now feel ready to fully invest in what I foresee of its worth. And I'm going to try it in a way where you might feel very, very confused at first, not knowing what the heck WST Channel is doing anymore. How come no more Cantonese? I liked the videos before! What are you even trying to do now? Don't worry if you feel that way, because I kind of feel the same way, too. But, I'm playing with my instincts and they're telling me this is the way to go. It could drive the Channel to a wall, but well, I hope not. If you find this journey too confusing for now, feel free to return at a later date. Hopefully, by that time, these ideas will be straightened and surfaced, and ready for you to watch.
Oh right, back to this WST Challenge "Journey to Television" series. It's a documentary that challenges me to take a truthful look at myself.
