“Itini Itira” (Here and there) music video premiere 💐

All the vocabularies, “Mata” (eyes) for gazing, “Tangnira” (ears) for listening, “Tangnic” (tears) for sadness, and “Itini” (here) and “Itira” (there) of the direction are similar within Austronesian languages. It seems that we can hear the hidden nautical clues for thousands of years from the short words. This song is a compliment to everyone from the album Sasela’an (Breath).

還記得我們今年初的補助循環嗎？終於終於傳來了好消息，非常大的！澳洲的Churchill Trust剛宣布今年的補助名單，Tim的名字就在上面啊啊啊！

這份補助，跨越印度洋和太平洋，我們會到馬達加斯加的印度洋音樂祭、關島的太平洋藝術季，還有拜訪台灣、夏威夷、紐西蘭的大學和南島語系音樂家！天吶！我們兩人先是不敢相信，接著痛哭流涕......尤其是Tim :v :v :v

I have the most incredible news to share, I have just been awarded a Churchill Fellowship in recognition of my work producing music and films with Indigenous Cultures, Specifically to research the indigenous music of Australia's neighbouring nations. I'll be visiting Madagascar, Taiwan, Guam, Hawaii and New Zealand. The knowledge gained through that journey, will guide me on a musical adventure from Madagascar to the eastern extremes of the Pacific Ocean as I meet the regions cultures and key artists/musicians, sharing their stories and music, and following those musical connections and ocean currents and trade winds, back in time to a single beach in Taiwan, 5,000 years ago. That's what BaoBao and I have imagined, creating a project to reunite that vast culture, and it's happening, 'Small Island, Big Song'.
