💻Roberto, where are you from?
I come from Granada, Spain. I came to Taiwan in August of 2018.

💻What do you specialize in?
I’m a backend engineer.

💻What has been your favorite project in your entire career?
I really enjoyed working on the BBVA Stock Market Order Management System. I consider the stock options market to be very interesting.

💻What do you like most about being an engineer?
I like it when we are blocked by a problem and then the inspiration to solve it comes at the most unexpected moment.

💻What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I like to go surfing, watch movies and have a meal with friends.

#Meettheteam 🙋‍♂️Marcello🇮🇪, our software engineer with 5 years experience in developing server-side solutions.

💻Marcello, where are you from?
I was born in Macerata, a little town on the east coast of Italy. I moved to Bologna (Italy) for my studies when I was 18 and after that, I spent some years in Berlin. Now, I have been living in Taipei for almost a year.

💻What are you currently working on?
I’m working on two projects, a system that handles different types of user notifications and a migration of a large application to the cloud.

💻What was your favorite project in your entire career?
My favorite project was a fault analysis system developed for a large telecommunication company. It's my favorite because I could follow it from the idea until the moment it was selected to be used in production.

💻My first accomplishment at ThinkPower:
We successfully launched a push notification system for a mobile banking APP with our team lately. It was a great experience because the project was run transnational and we have been coworking with multiple teams for it.

💻What do you like most about being an engineer?
I like working in international environments with people coming from different countries.
And I also like that it's not a country-specific profession so that you can use your skills worldwide.

💻What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I enjoy biking🚵‍♂️, cooking🥘, reading🤓, playing video games🎮, and hiking with my girlfriend and friends🥾.

🎇It is time again for #Meettheteam. Today meet Harshal our Principal Engineer for iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and React Native.

💻Which project are you currently working on?
I’m working on multiple major mobile banking APP projects. We are migrating the Micro front-end(MFE) framework to Swift 5.1.3. We are expecting it to be released soon.
Also, I’m writing a POC on remote working methodology for increased efficiency.
💻Which challenges are you facing in your everyday workflow and how do you solve them?
As we’re following MFE architecture for almost all projects, the major challenge is to support different iOS versions compatibility including a combination of both Objective-C and Swift codebase. Another challenging task is to create a fully customized MFE by extending the existing MFE using Swift and make limited access to external modules of the project.
💻What motivates you?
Working at ThinkPower feels like working with the Community :)
The great working atmosphere in our international team is definitely something which motivates me a lot! Another motivating factor is that there are always new challenges to be met and that you don't fall into an everyday routine.
💻What do you do in your free time?
I spend most of time with family and friends or practice Yoga and meditation.
I also enjoy attending developer networking events and meetups to exchange latest trends and insides.
