This is one of the very very few pictures I have of my #bestfriend and me, taken in the days before smartphones made it easy to capture precious moments that fly by oh too quickly. 🙈
My bestie is the total opposite of me, like night and day, the Yin to my Yang. Belinda was that kid in school that EVERYONE wanted to be friends with. She had thick loonnggg hair, the smartest in class, played the Piano and Violin, head girl prefect etc, the type that my parents only wanted me to be friends with. #TrueStory 🙄
Seriously it was such battle in school to become one of her best friends. But somehow, I earned a spot, and fast forward many many manyyy years, she's still the only one who knows me inside out and knows how I feel without me saying a word ❤️. Today she celebrates her birthday, and as usual I'm annoyed that I can't be there (she lives in Melbourne) to loudly sing her birthday song and eat her birthday cake 😜.

每年今日，都會有一個絕佳的理由，去學些難度很高的甜點。
還記得去年，我們幾個相約去了Jan老師的studio，學整Fondant Flower Cake。傾談間才發現，大家竟都是從Melbourne讀書回來的。想不到一年後，我們和Jan老師成為了朋友，今年結伴到魔鬼教練波sir的studio，一起整macarcoon cake。
世事，往往就是如此出人意料。
來到波sir的studio才突然發現，原來我已整整兩年，沒來過上堂了。雖然我也曾經跟他學過macaroon，不過長期缺乏練習之下，技巧都已經生疏。拿著攪拌棒做切拌的那刻，實在緊張得手心冒汗。幸好這天的我不用捱罵，波sir還手把手教了我好一會，實在是難以置信的好運氣。
站了整整三個半小時，做了無數個步驟，終於終於將這個蛋糕造好了。完成的那刻，看見製成品也頗美麗，實在大大的鬆了一口氣。
上完堂才知道，原來這個Lemonade Macaroon Cake，是朋友和波sir商量了很久，為著我家的兩個壽星而度身訂造的，從來未有教其他人造過。
知道的一刻，真的很感動很感動。謝謝朋友如此記掛著我，謝謝很多朋友陪伴我一起去上堂，也謝謝波sir如此絞盡腦汁去設計這個，初學者也能成功焗出的美麗甜點。
今年的這幾件小小birthday macaroon，除了親手製作的那份心意外，也實在充滿了大家對我的愛。
