As my daughter turned 17 last week, I just looked back on my memories at the age of 17. I had a great year in Melbourne as an exchange student and thanks to my host family, I enjoyed my life in OZ way and experienced a lot of things that I couldn’t do in Japan. One of them was deb ball!!! Unforgettable event in my life💓
先週、長女が17歳になったので、自分が17歳だっと時の思い出を懐かしむ機会に恵まれました。17歳はちょうど夢だった留学が叶い、オーストラリアのメルボルンで生活していた歳。ホストファミリーにもお友達にも恵まれて、本当に毎日が新鮮で楽しかった〜！思い出深いのが、Deb Ballに参加したこと！オーストラリアでは高校が主催する事が多いのですが、日本でいう成人式なような感じで多くの女子がドレスを選んでパートナーと一緒に参加するピックイベントです♡いわゆる社交界デビューなような感じですね。私はホストブラザーと参加したかったのですが、ノルウェーからの留学生Groが先にお兄ちゃんにパートナーになってと申し込んでしまい、私は、パートナーどうしようとあたふた💦パートナーがいないとDeb Ballには参加できないのです！学校のお友達からStevenがパートナーいないよと教えてもらい、一度も話したことのない彼に勇気を振り絞って話しかけ、Deb Ballでのパートナーになってもらうことに成功！一安心したのを覚えています🤣
Deb Ballではワルツも踊るので、記憶が曖昧ですが、確か2、3ヶ月前から夜に学校へ行って、週一でワルツの練習を皆でしました。これもいい思い出だな〜。おうちに帰ってきてからも廊下でホストブラザーと一緒に練習したり…
ドレスはレンタルで、この頃はパフスリーブが流行ってたのよね〜！ホストマザーと一緒にドレスを見に行って、沢山悩んでこちらのドレスに決めたのでした♡
オーストラリアの写真沢山撮ってアルバムにきちんとしてたのに、なんとー！前々回の引越しの際にゴミと間違えて捨ててしまったらしく💦どこを探しても見当たらない💦本当に悲しすぎる😭娘にも見せたかったのになぁ…ショック大です…
17歳♡いくつになっても楽しかったなと思い出せる歳！長女にとっても素晴らしい歳になりますように♡

Went crazy with the Pokémon GO trainers in Melbourne to do dinner raid hour together to raid some armoured Mewtwos. However, a perfect Mewtwo appeared for me just at the start of the dinner raid hour which is a good thing but also a bad thing for me as I struggled to keep up with the rest to continue to follow them to do the 15 raids during the 1 hour.
