What?!! I would never think those two things are what my kids would pick.
What am I talking about? Well, I decided to take on mission 5 on #FeedTheirGreatness Challenge.
https://www.woopworld.sg/l-bijnowsd
Within 1 minute, the kids and I picked an item each which we think would make them great.
My kids didn’t get what ‘makes them great’ means, so I said, “Pick one item which makes you awesome”.
Lauren picked a Monopoly set because she loves buying hotels and she’s good at it (according to her.) Future hotelier and business person, perhaps? Meanwhile Georgia chose a pink and fluffy eye mask because “it’s comfy and it makes me happy!” Could it be that she will one day become a creative maker?
Me, being a typical mother, picked a children’s encyclopedia on Inventions and Discoveries because I wanted them to be original and making things happen - whether it’s tangible or ideas or values to share with others.
Through this experiment, I learned that Lauren and Georgia are already who I wish for them to be. We might not have chosen the same thing but my children are great at making decisions and owning their choices. And they sure are original!
Your turn now! The 80 most creative submissions in the challenge will win $100 NTUC vouchers each! Remember to tag @WOOPSingapore and #FeedTheirGreatness as well! Have fun and good luck!
