I haven't been training and eating right recently... Took a week off to the snowy mountain to shred some snow and indulge some great food.

Do I fear of losing my hard-earned gainz when I'm not training and getting in my protein?

Well, I used to, but now I'm totally fine with it. Why? Because I no longer taking my own body seriously? No. Because I know I'll gain everything back (quickly) when I start back my training and nutrition regiment.

No, I'm not some special human or some genetic freak (I was a skinny, sick kid)... It's just that I have good muscle memory that being developed over the past few years.

Muscle memory is what makes a person who relapsed due to injury or atrophy for any reason; they will regain their gainz when they make a comeback. Muscle memory is not some fancy theory that people made up. It's real.
.
So if you lose some gainz recently for whatever reason, it's not the end of the world! Just come back to your training, and you will regain them 💯.

For those who wanted to take a break but fear of losing all their gainz, I'd say don't worry about it go for it. Taking one step back for two steps ahead is a great move, as long as you make a solid come back.👍

今天要來跟大家介紹一種「增加肌肥大效果」的特殊方法,
血流量限制(BLOOD FLOW RESTRICTION) 或 稱加壓訓練法,
這個方法利用局部的限制運動肢體血流進行訓練,做低強度阻力運動(約20%-50% 1RM),利用氣壓式袖套及腰帶加壓的壓力大約是100-300mmHg。
如果沒有儀器的輔助,也可以使用彈力帶或護具加壓的緊度大概使用到7分 (0~10分,10分是最緊、無法忍受的程度)
使用BFR除了增加肌肥大的效果外,也可以在ACL術後加壓及運動減少肌肉萎縮 ,甚至是術後初期只使用BFR,不運動也有效果的(Clark et al., 2004 ; Takarada Y., Takazawa H., et al . ,2000)

上個週末(11月19日及20日),在國際醫藥大學(www.uewm.edu)教了兩天的博士班課程「DAOM968- 臨床案例研究」,同時也是16個學分的CEU再教育課程。我上週三晚上才從亞洲回到美國,週四週五診所排滿了病人,還沒來得及休息一下調時差,就直接上兩個整天的課,確實有些疲憊。不過,學生的反應很好,也有很多的討論,還是蠻高興的,畢竟國際醫藥大學請我當博士院博士生導師,我是應該多為中醫教學盡些心力。
