The estate is called Tanglin Halt - it's a mature estate near central Singapore full of local, nostalgic sights and great food. For a foreigner like me, it's really interesting to see a neighborhood like Tanglin Halt. It has a local, retro vibe foreigners don't really get to see. Things to do in Kyushu, the southern-most of Japan's main island, full of volcanic activity, hot springs and interesting places to visit - and cute fruit bus stops!
I really enjoyed visiting Kyushu when I stayed in Fukuoka and went on day trips around the island. But there was lots I missed! With the new branch of the shinkansen (bullet train) to Nagasaki opening late 2022, it's a great time to go. This video's a round-up of ideas for your second/third/fourth Japan trip, including Nagasaki, Shimabara (City of Swimming Carp), Huis Ten Bosch, Kumamoto (for Kumamon hunting!), Yutoku Inari Shrine, Yufuin near Beppu, Mount Aso, the Unzen Hells and Mount Unzen, another active volcano in Japan.
