Doek are made in a footwear factory that continues for 140 years in Kurume City, Japan.
Their name is the Dutch word meaning “fabric,” which the Japanese word for simple canvas shoes, “Zukku” derives from. Cherishing the tradition while exploring new techniques, the idea is to create simple sneakers that bring out the charm of the cloth itself.
The shoes are cut from hardwearing 'kasuri' canvas and features the sturdy kiln-baked rubber soles and a comfortable natural breathing cork.
It is daily wear with beauty, comfort, and durability, due to the vulcanizing method that is done by hand.
