We Need Wisdom

“Receive my instruction rather than silver; knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies. All the things that may be desired can’t be compared to it. “I, wisdom, have made prudence my dwelling. Find out knowledge and discretion. The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth. Counsel and sound knowledge are mine. I have understanding and power. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule; nobles, and all the righteous rulers of the earth. I love those who love me. Those who seek me diligently will find me. With me are riches, honor, enduring wealth, and prosperity. My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold; my yield than choice silver. I walk in the way of righteousness, in the middle of the paths of justice; That I may give wealth to those who love me. I fill their treasuries.” (Proverbs‬ ‭8:10-21‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

In the passage above, God’s wisdom is speaking. Wisdom is the number one thing to seek from God. It empowers a person to retain and multiply the things he has been blessed with.

Without wisdom, you will make poor decisions that cause you to experience losses.

In the New Testament, we learn that God’s wisdom is actually Christ Jesus:

“Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:30‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

You can replace the word “wisdom” in the Proverbs passage above. When you seek Jesus, He will give you wisdom by leading you by His Spirit, and teaching you truths.

You will be led to do the right thing at the right time, and the decisions you make will be prosperous ones that lead to lots of good.

Those who seek Jesus and become wise will be good leaders too.

Compared to eternity, this lifetime is so short, like a breath of air. There is no time to waste by being foolish, bitter, worried, and fearful. Every day when you pray, always ask for wisdom, and you can be sure that God will supply it generously!

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.” (James‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Keep studying God’s word and growing in your understanding of His ways. 「恐れ」

私の人生の多くの場面で、私は恐れを感じました。

先生に怒られたとき、
学校で私のセクシュアリティをバカにされたとき、

そして
ニューヨークに引っ越そうと決めたとき、
僧侶の修行に入ろうと決めたとき、
自分のセクシュアリティを公にカミングアウトしようと決意したとき、

でも恐れることは悪いことだと思いますか？

私が日常とは違うことをしたり、慣れ親しんだ環境から抜け出そうとするとき、恐れは私を引き止めるでしょう。
でも、その恐れこそが私を進歩させて、私の人生を変えてくれるのです。

恐れることは自然のことです。

輝いている星に例えます。
今輝いているその星も、誕生するときには、エネルギーが変化して化学反応が起こったはずです。

人も「恐れ」というエネルギーの変化を乗り越えることで、後に星と同じように世界を照らすこともできると思います。

私はあなたの勇気を応援します。
そしてあなたの輝く未来を願っています。

來慶祝 Pride Month。 Be proud of who you are

Our society is beautiful.
We have so many different people living together; each person with his or her own uniqueness.
Our differences is what gives us "color" and what makes each and every one of us special in our own ways.
We should learn to embrace these colors, rather than use our differences to separate us and categorize into "normal" and "abnormal."
I sincerely hope that in time, people in our society start to accept each other for who they are, and appreciate the differences rather than fear them. Our differences are make us individually unique and beautiful.

Jolin Tsai's song "Womxnly" is one of my favorite songs. Not only was her original composition amazing, but also the lyrics. I came up with this storyline for my cover music video one day while listening to this song, and I am grateful for all of those who made it possible to create.
