自从包娘娘上学以来
就有好多妈妈读者pm我询问关于挑选学校的Criteria
其实在马来西亚幼儿学前教育有好几种
其中比较广为人知和热门的有 Academic Base、Montessori、还有Project Base (根据马来西亚KSPK)
比较冷门的还有 Waldoft 人本教育
Regio Emilia 和 Highscope 等

为了迎合马来西亚父母的"口味"
还有衔接小学的考量
在马来西亚其实已经很少很"专"的学院
很多学校都采用 Mix and Match的方式教学
我觉得选学校这件事
需要考量的因素还蛮多的
以下是我考虑的几种因素

1. 孩子未来要上国民型小学还是国际学校
如果是国际学校，基本上就比较没有需要担忧的，但如果是国民型小学，尤其是华校，那孩子衔接小学的抗压能力就是考量因素之一了。

2. 可负担学费
现在的学前教育费用可不小，轻则几百重则几千，可负担的Budget 也是其中一个因素。我们这里多数学校半日制大学是350-600不等，Montessori school 半日制 RM900/month左右。

3. 住家和学校的距离
孩子上学是日复一日的 Daily Routine, 每天必须准时到校，塞车路况，孩子赖床等问题，都是影响孩子每天学习的品质因素之一。育儿之路，保留教养耐心最重要，开心的早晨铺垫开心的学习之路。

4. 父母预期中的学习进度
每一个学校都有自己的学习进度，例如说Montessori 注重在教材，Highscope 注重在Plan do review, 就是每天会跟老师讨论当天要完成的事项，完成后再跟老师做一个task review, 他们比较注重孩子的self dicipline,time management, 和 task handling， 而 Waldoft 是比较注重于人本教育，也就是人类自力更生的本能，他们比较回归自然，以耕种劳动，学习自理能力为目标。

如果父母希望孩子学业成绩顶呱呱，Academic base 的学校会更为合适。

5. 院长的教学方式和理念
个人觉得这点非常重要，我不能接受威逼利诱的教育方式，参观学校时我会留意孩子和老师的互动，尤其是孩子不配合的时候和老师的对话方式。

6. 学习环境
有些家长会在意让孩子学习的环境是否有热水器，是否有Kakak，是否有男老师，是否有冷气，对厨房厕所睡房(全日制)都有要求，然这个部分不在考量范围内，理念还是优先考量，困难的环境可以让孩子懂得知足，更明白家里的舒适不是理所当然的。

7. 学生人数 v.s 老师数量
这点我相信每个人心中都有一把尺，包娘娘班上有两位老师，大约有12学生吧？我也忘了 😅

总得来说
最终我选择了Mix and match的学校
因为包娘娘在上学之前我曾经请了家教
老师让我到书局买一些幼儿学前书让他在家学习
那时候我特地看了小学一年级的课程内容
发现现在的小学一年级已经不是我们那年代那么简单了
考量到她衔接华小的压力
我们决定让她开始适应

包娘娘学校是以主题式方式进行教育的
例如说那个星期的主题是稻米
孩子们就会学习各种相关知识，例如插秧，稻谷，稻草人，捏饭团等
如果是Market Trade, 孩子们会学习自制钱币，然后制作价格表，学会称重刻度，再了解市场的金钱交易模式等
学习过程中其实会touch 到很多部分
例如从植物中萃取天然色素的科学实验
Sensory Play, Motor skill training, 和人本教育等

其实打从感染人数飙升到四位数之后
我们已经主动为孩子停课
院长见状也让我们到学校取回一些书本可以在家教学
政府宣布重启CMCO
校方也通知我们到校取回校方准备好的网课教材
但前几天政府又重新允许孩子返校上课
我们目前仍然决定自行停课
昨天收到院长的信息提到免费学费
真心觉得良心教育者很难得
父母收入不稳定
但学校也需要支付租金和老师的薪水
这个时期大家都不容易
可以将心比心很重要
觉得院长的身教很棒♥

妈咪们挑选学校 又会根据什么Criteria来决定呢？

信箱里好多妈咪都在询问是哪间学校
碍于隐私问题恕我无法告知
这家学校MCO之前我去参观时已经满额
当时是满腹失望的
因为这么多学校里 我最喜欢这家
幸好MCO之后刚好有学生退学了才有了名额
但其实在我们入学之后
也有一些朋友跟我说了他们没有选择这家幼儿园的原因
我真的觉得不是我喜欢的就代表适合你的宝贝
而且优渥奢华的学习环境不在我的考量范围里
建议大家多多 survey 幼儿园
基本上每一家幼儿园我都待了超过30分钟以上
花点时间留在幼儿园里观察
一定能找到心仪的学校哦

★Junior Video Editor

-Associate Degree/ Degree holder with major in -Journalism, Arts, Communications, Marketing, or related discipline
-Excellent copywriting skills in Chinese
-Innovative and self-motivated
-Familiar with CMS and social media platforms
-Analytical mind able to dig out unique insights from data
-Have video production experience is preferred
-Graduate from our investment course is highly preferred

★Operation Executive

Job Description
-To assist in daily data entry
-To assist in the customer service work for CS department
-Handle routine/daily operation duties
-Have patience and show good customer service to clients
-Keep track and ensure datas are up-to-date and organize
-Assist in report preparation
-Document handling (e.g. sorting, filing etc)
-Good communication with internal and external parties
-Occasionally perform shift work
-Assist in other ad-hoc task
-Positive, have sense of responsibility and have good team spirit
-Report to Marketing and Operation Director
-We are looking for an Operation Executive having skills required to support a variety of daily operation tasks of our businesses.

Requirements
-F.5 or above
-At least 1 year working experience
-Proficient in MS office, including Excel and Word
-Working day: 5 days, shift work (09:30-18:30 or 13:30-22:30)
-Self-motivated, confident and be able to work under pressure
-Able to work independently, with high efficiency

- Strong in design, layout presentation, and typography, photo retouching, with both excellent conceptual and execution skills.

- Passionate about design, provide creative ideas and executions to new project
- Handle administrative tasks, internal document updates and expect ad-hoc projects
- Assist on content creation including photo shooting

Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in graphic design or related subject.
- At least 3 years of solid working experience in graphic design or advertising. Experience in Graphic design/ Social Media /Web Design with a demonstrated portfolio is preferred.
- Strong communication skills
- Mac and PC compatible
- Knowledge of relevant design tools specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, basic video editing & Powerpoint
- Conceptual thinking, good art sense & graphic skills, passionate, creative and energetic
- Able to multi-task under tight deadlines
- Have basic knowledge in Finance is a plus, our student will be preferred
- Good command of spoken Cantonese and English

I'd be lying if I said this is one of the more interesting vlogs, but it is super important; having a dialed schedule is critical to the success of your project. Now, don't think you need to be as involved as I am in this, I've been doing this for over 15 years, so I can drive a lot of this conversation and push for certain efficiencies. That said, I would definitely encourage you to sit with your GC and go through the entire job schedule. At the very least, it gives you a baseline to always come back to and evaluate whether you are on scheduled or falling behind.

I use Asana, as they have a pretty decent Gantt chart view, so I can use it as my general task manager and the project timeline as well. It doesn't matter what software you use so long as it works for you.
