หลังจากเปิดตัวไปเป็นที่เรียบร้อย ล่าสุดทีมงาน Remedy Entertainment ก็ออกมาเผยวิดีโอตัวอย่าง Gameplay ของ Alan Wake Remastered แบบเต็ม ๆ ด้วยความยาวร่วม 7 นาที

สำหรับ Gameplay นี้ ก็เรียกได้ว่าเป็นการโชว์กราฟิกที่ถูกยกระดับให้ดีขึ้นกว่าต้นฉบับในปี 2010 โดยมาพร้อมความละเอียด 4K และยังปรับปรุงสภาพแวดล้อม, คัทซีน ให้ดูมีความเป็นปัจจุบัน นอกจากนี้ก็ยังมีการยืนยันว่าจะมีส่วนเสริมอย่าง The Signal และ The Writer รวมเข้ามาไว้ด้วย

ก่อนหน้านี้เอง Jeff Grubb นักข่าวชื่อดังก็เคยออกมาปล่อยข่าวลือว่าทาง Remedy กำลังวางแผนทำภาคต่อของ Alan Wake กันอยู่ด้วย และการนำมันมา Remaster ครั้งนี้ ก็ไม่แน่ว่าอาจจะมีอะไรบางอย่าง ที่เป็นใบเบิกทางไปสู่ตัวเกมภาค 2 ในอนาคตก็เป็นได้ ซึ่งก็ต้องรอติดตามความเคลื่อนไหวของเรื่องนี้กันอีกครั้ง

Alan Wake Remastered มีกำหนดวางจำหน่ายในวันที่ 5 ตุลาคมที่กำลังจะถึง ลงให้ทั้งบน PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 และ Xbox One

แม้ว่าจะทำให้แฟนเกมยุคนี้ได้สัมผัสเกมเทพเมื่อสิบกว่าปีก่อน แต่แฟนเกมบางส่วนก็ยังอยากที่จะได้ภาคต่อมากกว่าการขุดของเก่ามาใหม่อีกครั้ง แต่ดูเหมือนว่าการ Remastered ครั้งนี้ จะเป็นใบเบิกทางไปสู่ภาค 2 ที่หลายคนคาดและรอคอยกันมาอย่างยาวนาน

Jeff Grubb นักปล่อยข่าวลือขาประจำและเป็นสื่อของสำนัก GamesBeat เผยว่า ตอนนี้เหมือนทาง Remedy กำลังวางแผนทำภาคต่อของ Alan Wake กันอยู่ และการนำมันมารีมาสเตอร์นี้ ก็อาจจะเป็นใบเบิกทางให้ได้เห็นสัญญาณตัวเกมภาค 2 ในอนาคต

มีความเป็นไปได้ที่หลากหลาย การรีมาสเตอร์อาจเล่าเรื่องเพิ่มเติมทำให้สามารถหาทางไปต่อได้ หรือถ้ามันได้รับกระแสตอบรับที่ดีพอ การตัดสินใจทำภาค 2 เองก็ไม่ใช่เรื่องยากอีกต่อไป ก่อนหน้านี้เคยมีข่าวลือมาแล้วว่า Remedy และ Epic Games กำลังเข้าสู่กระบวนการผลิตเกมเกมหนึ่งอย่างเต็มรูปแบบ และมีความเป็นไปได้ว่ามันคือ Alan Wake 2

ท้ายที่สุดแล้ว มันจะเกิดขึ้นจริงหรือไม่ ในตอนนี้ยังไม่มีใครทราบได้ เพราะตอนนี้ทาง Remedy เองก็ยังมีทั้ง Crossfire X และ Project Condor ที่กำลังพัฒนากันอยู่ แต่จากการที่ Alan Wake ถูกนำไปรวมกับจักรวาล Control นั้น ชี้ให้เห็นว่าพวกเขาพร้อมที่จะสานต่อ Alan Wake ทุกเมื่อ แต่จะเมื่อใดก็เท่านั้น
