Our presents wrapping session turned into a doggies snack time when our fur babies invaded our space! It’s always chaos when there are pets around but it’s unfiltered moments like these (and the presents uniquely wrapped by my partner) that will be etched in our minds for a long time.

With us being animal lovers, it’s heartening to know that @thebodyshopsg is cruelty free and forever against animal testing.

Christmas to us is about joy and love but more importantly, it is a time to reflect and give. This holiday, The Body Shop will donate a portion of every transaction made offline and online in their official stores from Nov - Dec to support Daughters Of Tomorrow (@daughtersoftomorrow), in helping underprivileged women on their back-to-work journeys to build financially independent and resilient families.

We can make a difference to our community and to the ones who need a helping hand. Let’s #MakeItRealTogether this Christmas, let’s empower fellow women and #giftwithapurpose.

🌏環工所駱尚廉教授團隊國際合作計畫CRUNCH

獲Belmont Forum三年研究經費補助

在都市化、都市擴張與人口持續成長的趨勢下，加上受氣候變遷的影響，維繫都市生活最重要的糧食、能源及水資源系統，將面臨供需無法平衡的風險；因此，近年糧食-能源-水鏈結 (Food-Energy-Water Nexus, FEW) 的研究已經成為國際的焦點。由駱尚廉教授帶領的團隊 (包括環工所馬鴻文教授、闕蓓德教授及園藝系張育森教授) 受英國 Portsmouth 大學 Steffen Lehmann 教授之邀，一同向國際研究組織 Belmont Forum 提出國際合作計畫申請，研究主題為「CRUNCH- Climate Resilient Urban Nexus Choices: Operationalizing the Food-Water-Energy Nexus」；並於2018年4月起獲得三年計畫補助。該國際合作計畫由來自臺灣、英國、美國、波蘭、瑞典及荷蘭六個國家的研究團隊組成。

CRUNCH計畫目標為展示Food-Energy-Water (FEW) 鏈結如何強化都市面對各項環境壓力之韌性。預期將建立跨領域指標以作為系統評估框架，並據以建立緊密聯繫的知識平台，期能發展一套整合決策支援系統 (Integrated Decision Support System, IDSS) 以輔助未來都市發展的決策。該計畫由7個工作模組(work packages, WP) 組成，內容架構如圖1所示。

各國參與城市：Taipei (臺灣)、Southend-on-sea (英國)、Gdansk (波蘭)、Miami (美國)、Eindhoven (荷蘭)、及Uppsala (瑞典) 將各自選定都市內代表區域作為都市生活實驗室 (Urban Living Labs, ULLs)；CRUNCH計畫將對 ULLs 進行共同設計，包括：釐清現況問題、擬訂可能解決方案等(圖2)。計畫核心為 WP3-情境測試 (scenario testing)，即針對計畫中的六個城市共同設計解決方案；其餘計畫則圍繞此目的，包括：釐清各城市的具體挑戰、擬訂解決方案、發展決策支援工具及分析數據等。

該計畫進行期間為2018年4月至2021年3月，總經費為157萬歐元；期間每半年會有一次團隊會議，將由各國學術代表團隊負責規劃籌辦。
