I’m finally out! Not too happy to celebrate yet, more like i’m living with more contentment and appreciation for life now. 21 days #hotelquarantine has been a lot of time for silence, self-reflection, and self-care. Mostly learning how to take good care of myself, my mind and my body. Maybe it’s okay to feel upset sometimes, lonely at times, unproductive/productive at other times. Especially on the third week of hotel quarantine, the feelings really got to me, I brokedown in tears. Once in the morning, second time during my meditation practice. It didn’t feel good at the time but it was a good release. Onto the last week, feeling bad doesn’t change anything in my situation so all I could do was learn to accept, understand those emotions and just let it go. I know that all of you, every one of you have been coping with these 2 years of covid differently, some have lost their jobs, some lost their loved ones, and others just got to do what they can to survive. I have watched enough youtube videos since Day 1 to know, i want to say I understand, I sympathize with you. We are all just doing what we can.

I’m glad to say I overcame my fears of the dark, unknown unseeable things, loneliness, restlessness, germs and covid. I’m eating a lot healthier and clean. After passing from complications from a severe car accident, my friend passed away on the morning of the 17th.

Thanks big brother 古明政 remind me about human limits and how to push them. Even I was promising my self during second day I will never go mountains with someone else (one person, one problem), I hope we can do soon another adventure.
Combination of long and hot walk with relatively heavy bags in first day and second day section between 六順山 to 丹大山 (usually done in 2-3 days) totally without water was beyond madness. When we realized we are out of any water source (even mud could not squeeze) and terrain getting more difficult I start little panic. Brother Ku offer me cold Oolong tea from his heavy bag 🙂 (or it was just imagination caused by dehydration). For rest of afternoon and evening we have been on half litter of water. Solution was only move painfully in hard terrain ahead in dark and reach 丹大山 and valley 太平溪源. When we found water upstream we hug each other and all was just past...
Next days took easier and enjoy beutiful mountains and valley of Taiwan. My dream come true and we stood night in most beutifull valley 嘆息灣 I ever visit. These places are not commonly visited by hikers since they are not even located in range of days from 百岳.
Weather was without any rain or clouds and Mabolashi ridge was amazing for 4th days and final part of mountain section with stunning views.
Last morning over Batonguan 八通關 and its landslide was nice mixture of Beauty and Beast of Taiwan mountains. Beer and hotspring bath in 東埔 Dongpu was perfect end.

In the morning, I have my water and coffee, and then after waking I exercise and make breakfast and such. Then, I take care of the random things that come up in the day.
