Video - The Twins loving School
We never had problems sending our kids to School even from a very young age .
Be it Bella , Tasha , Adam or Noah .
The kids are always hunger for knowledge wanting to learn new things .
Some kids cry not wanting to go .
Some kids throw tantrums lasting for weeks and parents not knowing what to do ..
So how do I do it ?
Here’s some tips to make the transition easy peasy .
1. Exposure from young
Toddlers as young as 2 years old need to be exposed to new surroundings and new people .
Most kids are terrified being left out to a new place which explains their reactions .
2. Separation anxiety
When a child is too attached to their parents he will cry his lungs out not wanting
to be separated . It becomes difficult when Mommy or Daddy is already at the gate wanting to leave .
3. Prepare them the night before
Before bedtime describe the kids plan for School the next day . A child doesn’t like surprises and needs to know what to expect . Just like us adults .
4. Make the journey fun
Put on some nursery rhymes or sing along while driving to the School .
These activities put them in a happy mood once they arrive at School .
5. Say Goodbye and leave
Drop the child at the gate , hugs & kisses and walk off . Don’t dilly dally too long or the child might change his mind wanting to follow you back .
6. Hug them proudly
Upon picking the Child from School , hug them tightly and say how proud you are .
It builds their level of confidence and feeling good at the same time .
7. Ask your Child how exciting School was .
Listen as he describes the fun things done at School . Beam with pride . Let him do the talking . The Euphoric feeling will make the Child wanting to go to School the next day .
8. Ask the teachers
Always enquire about your Child’s level of happiness at School . A child who is playful and socialising well indicate that he’s comfortable and happy at School .
9. Listen to their complaints and take them seriously. Help your kid to solve what’s bothering them at School.
10. Choose the right School

1. The BIG Life Kids Podcast
This is Ella Grace’s absolute favorite and she can listen to all these on loop. Created by the makers of Big Life Journal, it is inspiring, enthusiastic, positive, and follows the adventures of Zara and Leo in their Belief mobile as they teach children to stay resilient, believe in themselves, and face life’s challenges with confidence! ❤️❤️❤️
2. But Why: A Podcast for Curious Kids
Another close second, this podcast by Vermont Public Radio features little kids around the world asking questions on a topic. Check out the one they just released on Coronavirus. I was so impressed how much Ella Grace absorbed and learned from listening to it as she explained it back to a friend a little bit later! So good!!! The episodes are quite long but informative and features a mix of kids, experts, and a narrator.
3. Little Stories for Tiny People
If you have a little one that loves books and stories, this is the podcast for you. Each story is lovingly written and performed with attention to the whimsical senses of humor little ones have. Her favorites are Mouse Bakes a Cake as well as the feeling stories. Read the captions, it’s so beautifully written it makes you want to hug the creator!
4. This Podcast Has Fleas
Silly, fun, sassy, goofiness this podcast from WNYC Kids features a menagerie of household animals holding their own podcasts including fans! Made-up songs with Waffles the dog, Jones the cat, Benny the gerbil and Mr Glub the goldfish (voiced by Alex Baldwin!) it has all the silliness a preschooler would enjoy!
5. Wow in the World
Another gem from NPR, Ella Grace loves this one and it's perfect if you have curious little kids that are hungry to know how the world works! Enthusiastic, informative, entertaining, it takes science to a whole new level and makes it approachable, fun and easy-to-understand magic!
6. Circle Round
This one is also for all our little story-lovers. Created and produced by parents of young children, it adapts folktales on kindness, persistence, and generosity from around the world into a beautiful story-telling. If your little one loves reading books rich with artistry and story, they will be riveted with this series that Ella Grace lovingly calls the Lion stories.
7. Sparkle Stories
If you can't tell already, Ella Grace's two favorite podcast genres are the science of how things work and stories that inspire imagination and kindler gentler world and this podcast definitely doesn't disappoint. There is definitely no shortage of stories in this one and it has child-friendly narration which makes it slower and easier to understand for little ones. It's perfect for a pre-naptime treat and it's listed by age-groups and interests! There is an absolutely beautiful series on Helping and Healing that explores different topics like grief, separation anxiety, chronic illness, etc.
8. Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls
From the makers of the bestselling Rebel Girls series, this podcast features different history-making women from Frida Kahlo to lesser known heroines to inspire your little girl to dream bigger, aim higher and fight harder. <3

Video - Sending the boys to School .
It’s always a joy sending the boys to school .
Adam & Noah are more independent now .
They truly enjoy going to school from 0900-1530H .
Sometimes I have a hard time getting them back from school - Haha .
Do send your child to a Playschool as early as possible ...
They learn to interact with other kids which is important to a child’s development .
They also learn to be more independent and not clingy to their parents .
Boys tend to have more ‘ separation anxiety’ compared to girls ... and they tend to cling to their mothers upto the age of 4.
It’s always tough sending a child to a Playschool from a very young age .
It does take time for them to adapt -sometimes a week , a month or even longer . But never give up .
I know it hurts seeing your child cries but it’s totally worth it .
Adam & Noah took a month to adapt to their school and seeing them now - Memang berbaloi !
Good Morning Everyone ...
