Have you tried bak kwa baked pasta? That was actually the monkies' idea when I left them to decide on the ingredients instead of the usual chicken or beef. And I have to say it tasted pretty good... helped mostly in part by the extremely cheesy taste of Perfect Italiano Parmesan Grated Cheese! And in case you are wondering about the monkies' bak kwa baked pasta recipe? Here it is:
Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add a cup of pasta and cook until just tender, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Drain pasta into a large mixing bowl. Meanwhile, put 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a medium saute pan over medium heat. Add the 1/2 cup of diced onions and 1 clove of minced garlic, stirring to combine, and cook until the onions are soft. Add in 1/2 cup of bak kwa (cut into tiny pieces) and continue to fry for another 3 minutes.
Put the mixture into the bowl with the cooked pasta. Add 1 can of diced tomatoes, 150g of Perfect Italiano Mozzarella Grated Cheese, 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper. Stir to combine. Place the mixture in a baking dish. Sprinkle 50g of Perfect Italiano Parmesan Grated Cheese on the top of the pasta mixture. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and bake until the top is golden brown, about 30 minutes.

高筋麵粉 bread flour 500g
雞蛋 egg 40g
冰水 cold water 280g
砂糖 sugar 55g
奶油 butter 55g
鹽巴 salt 5g
速發酵母 instant yeast 5g
奶酥餡料 milky filling ingredients:
奶油 butter 24g
糖粉 icing sugar 20g
雞蛋 egg 6g
奶粉 milk powder 30g
大蒜奶油餡 garlic butter filling ingredients:
奶油 butter 40g
蒜泥 garlic 6g
鹽巴 salt 1g
蔥花餡料 green onion filling ingredients:
蔥花 green onion 40g
油 oil 10g
鹽巴 salt 1g
白胡椒 white pepper 適量 appropriate
菠蘿皮 pineapple bun topping ingredients:
高筋麵粉 bread flour 45g
糖粉 icing sugar 20g
雞蛋 egg 12g
奶油 butter 25g
奶粉 milk powder 5g
菠蘿皮做法:
奶油打發,加入糖粉攪拌均勻,加入雞蛋攪拌均勻,加入過篩麵粉與奶粉攪拌均勻
搓成圓柱狀,放入冰箱冷藏備用!
1.除了奶油之外所有材料放入麵包機,啟動『快速麵團』或是『麵包麵糰』,揉麵約10分鐘之後,投入奶油。
總共(約20分鐘)+一次發酵(約60分鐘)
使用攪拌器,將所有麵糰材料投入,慢速3分鐘,轉中速5-8分鐘,
(每一台機器不同 但重點要打出薄膜) 之後放到室溫28度地方發酵60分鐘
2.取出麵團,分割成以下麵團
30g 共15顆,直接先滾圓 (全數是鹹麵包)
40g 共8顆,先滾圓(4顆是奶酥, 4顆是巧克力)
35g 共4顆, 滾圓 (菠蘿麵包)
3. 將30g麵團重新滾圓一次,烤盤前半盤,每一排個放入5個麵團
4. 取4個40g麵團,分別包入20g的奶酥內餡。
5. 4個35g麵團,分別蓋上菠蘿皮
6. 4個40g麵團,包入適量的巧克力。
7.於溫度30度左右室溫,發酵40-50分鐘。
8.烤箱預熱190度,入烤箱前,塗上一層蛋液,
其中一排鹹麵團剪開,擠上適量的奶油。 再剪開另一排,鋪上適量的蔥花餡料。
入烤箱,總共烘烤13-15分鐘。
(前五分鐘我有設定一顆強度的蒸汽,烤到一半時間,烤盤對調)

Matcha Strawberry Roll Cake
Difficulty: VERY Easy
Time: 1hr + cooling time
Necessary Equipment:
9-inch square brownie pan
electric mixer
Ingredients:
((Matcha Sponge Cake))
3 eggs
5 tbsp. granulated sugar
4 tbsp. cake flour
1 tbsp. Matcha (green tea) powder
((Fillings))
100ml whipping cream
1/2 tbsp. granulated sugar
cut strawberries
Directions:
1. In a bowl, place eggs and sugar. Beat on high speed with an electric mixer for about 10 minutes until white and fluffy.
2. Line the pan with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180C (356F).
3. Sift in cake flour and Matcha powder, half at a time, and mix on low speed with an electric mixer for a minute or two in total until just combined.
4. Pour the batter into the pan and drop it lightly on the counter to raise the air bubbles out of the batter.
5. Bake at 180C (356F) for about 12 minutes.
6. When it's done, drop the pan lightly to prevent shrinking.
7. Remove the sponge cake from the pan by lifting the parchment paper and place it on a wire rack to cool.
8. Meanwhile, combine whipping cream and granulated sugar in a dry, clean bowl. Float the bottom of the bowl in ice water, whisk the cream until firm peaks form.
9. When the cake is cool enough, remove the parchment paper. Cut off one end of the sponge cake diagonally.
10. Coat the surface of the sponge cake evenly with the cream and place the strawberries. Place the cut side on the other side, and roll up the cake. Wrap the cake in the parchment paper and cool in the fridge for 30 minutes to set.
11. Cut to serve. Use a sharp knife, carefully wiping it clean after each slice. Don't push but pull to cut.
