[News] RE Village ทำยอดขายแผ่น PS4/PS5 สัปดาห์แรกในญี่ปุ่นได้ต่ำที่สุดในรอบ 19 ปี

จากรายงานของ Famitsu ระบุว่า Resident Evil Village ทำยอดขายแผ่น PS4 และ PS5 รวมกันได้เพียง 149,884 ชุดในสัปดาห์แรกภายในประเทศญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งถือว่าลดลงอย่างมีนัยสำคัญเมื่อเทียบกับ Resident Evil 7 ที่ทำไปได้ 231,188 ชุด ในช่วงกรอบเวลาเดียวกันเมื่อปี 2017 หรือตกไปราวๆ 35%
.
ซึ่งถ้านับจากข้อมูลยอดขายจาก Game Data Library แล้ว ยอดขายดังกล่าวถือว่ามากกว่าเพียงแค่ 2 ภาคคือ Resident Evil ภาคแรกสุดบน PlayStation ที่ทำได้ 148,904 ชุด และ Resident Evil 4 ที่วางจำหน่ายครั้งแรกบน GameCube ที่ 145,533 ชุด
.
หรือเรียกได้ว่า Resident Evil Village ทำยอดขายแผ่นในญี่ปุ่นได้ย่ำแย่ที่สุดในรอบ 19 ปีเลยทีเดียว ในขณะที่ Resident Evil 3 ทำไปได้ 189,490 ชุด และ Resident Evil 2 ทำไปได้ 265,324 ชุด
.
ซึ่งทาง VGC ชี้ว่า ยอดขายของทาง Famitsu ครอบคลุมเฉพาะแผ่นเท่านั้น ส่วนยอดขายดิจิทัลจะสูงกว่านี้มากๆ และด้วยการที่สถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของ COVID-19 ทำให้หลายๆ จังหวัดในญี่ปุ่นกำลังอยู่ในช่วงวิกฤติจนต้องประกาศภาวะฉุกเฉิน รวมไปถึงการที่ Village เป็นแนวเดินยิงมุมมองบุคคลที่ 1 ที่เกมแนวนี้มักทำยอดขายได้ไม่มากในประเทศญี่ปุ่นอยู่แล้ว นั่นน่าจะส่งผลให้ตัวเกมทำยอดขายแผ่นได้น้อยลงด้วย

ในขณะที่ตลาดนอกบ้านเกิดของ Capcom กลับไปได้สวยมากๆ โดย Village เปิดตัวด้วยยอดขายถึง 3 ล้านชุดทั่วโลก ภายในเวลา 3 - 4 วันแรกของการวางจำหน่าย ซึ่งถือว่าเกินกว่า Resident Evil 3 ที่ทำได้ 2 ล้านชุดใน 5 วัน และ Resident Evil 7 ที่ทำได้ 2.5 ล้านชุดใน 4 วัน และเทียบเท่ากับ Resident Evil 2 ที่ทำยอดขายได้ 3 ล้านชุดในเวลาไล่เลี่ยกัน

นอกจากนี้ Village ยังขึ้นแท่นเกมที่เปิดตัวใน UK ได้ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดเป็นอันดับ 2 เป็นรองเพียง Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury เท่านั้น ไม่เพียงเท่านี้ ยอดขายบน PC เองก็มากมายจนทำให้ตัวเกมขึ้นแท่นเกมที่มียอดผู้เล่นพร้อมกันสูงสุดกว่า 100,000 คนบน Steam เป็นครั้งแรกของซีรีส์ด้วย

ซึ่งทาง Capcom เคยกล่าวว่า มุ่งหวังให้ Village ได้กลายเป็นอีกเกมภาคขายดีที่สุดของแฟรนไชส์ด้วย หลังจากที่ Resident Evil 7 ได้ขึ้นแท่นเป็นเกมภาคที่ขายดีที่สุดด้วยยอดขาย 9 ล้านชุด
