Malaysian Bond and Sukuk Conference 2019
In order to plan for sustainable future of capital markets, MARC and Amanie have worked together to bring this conference to the centre stage of the industry. It was officiated by YB Dato' Wira Ir. Haji Amiruddin Hamzah, the Deputy Finance Minister of Malysia. It was kindly hosted by SIDC.
The event took place from 28 to 29 November 2019. We are grateful to all the sponsors, speakers and panelists and the participants who stayed all the way until the end. We hope that the event was meaningful and insightful.
From my own assessment, the themes that hit the interest of most are retail bond and sukuk in Malaysia (relative to our neighboring countires), SDG based bond and sukuk, the leaderhsip of Malaysia in sukuk issuances, Samurai bond of Malaysian government and financial inclusion, to a name a few.
In the last panel dicussion of the whole event just before Friday prayer yesterday, I stressed on both smart connectivity and buidling the trust to build for sustainable future of wealth creation, wealth transfer and wealth distribution. The journey is still a long way to go.
Without creating new wealth, there is no meaning of wealth sharing. If people have no excess or surplus of wealth, there is no investment in the first place. This may explain why in many collective schemes of investment by rakyat (general public), only a small fraction of bottom income earning segment of the community invested. The amount of investment has been so little too. Good for serious thinking over the weekends.
Happy weekend.

我們要身體力行做到我們HKSA的宗旨:swim with integrity and meaning! 我需要你們的支持,多多益善,少少無拘。感謝大家。

Dear all,
I am pleased to share with you the following news.
A press conference was held on July 31, 2019 for the announcement of my commitment to swim for “A Drop Of Life Limited”, which will take place on November 5th this year. This fundraising event is aim for a reputable local charity for raising more than 4.5 million HK dollars in order to provide clean water for 450,000 people who are suffering from water shortage. It is indeed an arduous challenge even to a veteran swimmer like me who is very experienced in swimming. This time I brave the greatest pioneer challenge of swimming solo around Hong Kong Island, in the open sea, without breaks or resort to any floating aids. The total distance is estimated to be 45 kilometres long, if there is no deviation, the journey should be completed in 12 straight hours. I sincerely hope to get the support from all of you to achieve my goal!
To me and all other swim-learners, WATER, may seemed to be a surplus in life, even at times to a point where swimmers are tired of swimming anymore. But to the unfortunates who are deprived of it and the ones who are suffered from water shortage; having clean water is a dream to come true. Therefore, I am determined to hoping that money can be raised to help improve their lives, and to help care of the underprivileged families.
As you know, I have already retired from the swimming arena for 15 years. Without the toughest training, it will be impossible for me to meet the challenge. Therefore, ever since I founded Hong Kong Swimming Academy last year ,I have been slowly starting to swim again ,shaping and gearing up myself gradually. Almost everyday until March this year, I have kept on practicing swimming. I hope people can realise that trying hard may not necessarily lead to the destination, but without trying so can never get you there. If I persist to work hard, I am very confident that I shall be able to achieve my goal with the 45 kilometres challenge.
Every meaningful project, requires sweat of its own.
We must do our best to achieve our aim and value of HKSA: “Swim with integrity and meaning!”
Through this meaningful feat, we hope to raise awareness and donations from the public, so that everyone can make a difference in changing the lives of another person in this world.

"To all my follower : I’ve received a lot of questions from you about my diet and how to get great body and abs..
-
First of all I do not follow a diet when I’m in offseason. During few years of training I now know what I can and cannot eat to get an ‘ideal’ calorie surplus when I bulk. I never overdo my bulk meaning that I never eat too much so I’ll lose all my shape during offseason.
-
Second of all I train HARD with HEAVY weights during offseason combined with isolated glute exercises. If you only do light weights/body weight training you’ll never achieve your goal unless you’re very genetically gifted which most of us aren’t.
When I first started lifting I didn’t have the curves I have today, but with heavy weights and a lot of food I’ve come a long way.
Just please guys keep in mind that you can’t be on a cheat diet and at the same time hoping to achieve great body and abs.
Let's do this!!! 💪🇲🇾💯."
