「智慧城市」為全世界的交通、能源、與社區宜居性帶來許多幫助。1月18日, 美國在台協會高雄分處召集了台灣公私部門的領袖及來自美國公司的代表 (如:特斯拉汽車、思科、及第一太陽能公司)，一同參與第一屆智慧城市活動，討論能夠幫助南台灣城市更佳智慧化及結合科技運用的方法。「攜手共創智慧城市」座談會是我們首次邀請南台灣重要領袖們參與的圓桌會談。AIT高雄分處商務組組長方慧良及AIT台北辦事處智慧城市商務官高子健一起主持了籌劃及執行智慧城市的座談會。我們期待未來有更多智慧城市的活動在南台灣其他地方舉辦，能夠討論智慧城市的其他重要層面。
“Smart Cities” are increasing benefits in transportation, energy use, and livability to communities all around the world today. On January 18, AIT Kaohsiung brought leaders from Taiwan’s public and private sectors together with representatives from U.S. companies like Tesla, Cisco, and First Solar to discuss ways to make southern Taiwan’s cities smarter and more technologically integrated. This inaugural round table of decision makers in southern Taiwan was called the Smart Cities Opportunities for Partnership Event (SCOPE). AIT Kaohsiung’s Principal Commercial Officer Sarah Fox and AIT Taipei’s Smart Cities Commercial Officer Jim Curtis led a panel discussion on planning and executing viable smart cities. Look for future SCOPE programs in other cities in southern Taiwan, focusing on other critical aspects of Smart Cities.
