#'88年にナムコが稼働させたAC用横スクロールACT作品。ホラー映画ブームの真っ只中であった時期に世に放たれたが、これまでカラフルポップな彩りがイメージだったナムコとしては異色といえる。

独特な敵や罠の配置をかいくぐる快感、プレイヤーの心理をくすぐる演出も飽きさせない。これらをゲームプレイで演出しきったスタッフの手腕も見事。

BGMは川元氏と田島氏による共同作曲であり、不気味さのみでなく一瞬の安堵・焦燥・悲哀まで、雰囲気に合わせて盛り上げる楽曲が並ぶ。

#'96年にエルフが発売したSF・ADV作品。菅野ひろゆき氏が企画・脚本・ゲームデザイン・総合プロデュースを担当し、アニメ化、漫画化、小説化もされた。また、菅野氏がエルフで作った唯一の作品。
並行世界をテーマの一つとしており、その具現化として当時としては画期的な「A.D.M.Sシステム」という、言わばゲーム全体のフラグを自在に管理できるシステムを搭載している。
伏線の一部を回収し損なっている部分もあるが、各世界の出来事が複雑に絡み合う構成は見事としか言いようがない。
BGMは梅本氏が作曲、エルフの98作品で唯一86ボード対応となっており、本作に相応しいなだらかな作り。
