On August 11 at a virtual Global Cooperation and Training Framework (GCTF) workshop entitled “Green Energy: A Way to a Clean and Sustainable Earth, AIT Director Sandra Oudkirk joined MOFA Minister Joseph Wu, JTEA Chief Representative Hiroyasu Izumi, and Australian Office Taipei Representative Jennifer Bloomfield in delivering opening remarks. Director Oudkirk highlighted the decades-long history of substantial energy cooperation between the United States and Taiwan. “ We are honored to have so many energy experts from across the world join us today. I know my colleagues from the Department of Energy and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory are looking forward to sharing their valuable technical expertise about global energy trends during today’s workshop. I believe we all have a shared commitment to a healthier, cleaner, and sustainable future. Workshops like this are an opportunity for us to learn from each other,” she emphasized.

7 月2021在世界各地同時發生的洪水比近期歷史上任何一個月都多。 平均每天發生3次大洪水。 隨著地球變暖，暴雨變得越來越頻繁。這段影片花費了7天在拍攝、剪輯和字幕翻譯，在菲律賓、巴拿馬、哥斯達黎加、印度、尼日爾、阿富汗、哥倫比亞、巴基斯坦、意大利、美國（4個州）和孟加拉國都有災情，與此同時，中國和西歐的洪水也仍在持續著。

July 2021 saw more concurrent flooding around the world than any month in recent history. An average of 3 major floods a day. Heavy rain storms are becoming more frequent as the earth gets warmer.
In the 7 days it took to film, edit, and translate the subtitles for this video, it flooded in the Philippines, Panama, Costa Rica, India, Niger, Afghanistan, the UK, Colombia, Pakistan, Italy, USA (4 states), and Bangladesh . Meanwhile the flooding in China and Western Europe is still ongoing.

【星情札記 — 布蘭森上太空啦！ 】

本想忍著白天再分享，但實在太興奮，忍不住開了占星軟體並追了所有後續報導。

比對著布蘭森的星盤和歷年來的重大事跡，太佩服這位太陽、水星、金星無相位（我使用的容許度較窄）的布蘭森活出了多數人不敢嘗試的人生，也在人類太空史上又向前跨出一步，接下來將由貝佐斯出陣，馬斯克後續。

2004年布蘭森創立維珍銀河公司時，其 Solar Arc裡的水星四分本命金星，TR 海王星合相下降點，對分本命冥王、TR 天王星合相本命木星。

昨天（2021年7月11日），他在格林威治時間 2:30 PM啟程時，TR 水星在雙子度29度，TR金星、火星在他本命冥王星上，TR木星對分本命月亮，TR土星合相下降點；二推月亮對分本命火、海合相；SA天王星在不久後也將合相他本命七宮的土星，SA海王對分本命金星。

簡言之，布蘭森的太空旅遊產業將再將他推向下一波事業高峰（彷彿沒有終點）！！！

ミーハーだと言われても良いから、その一部になりたいと思ったのが、沖縄の文化でした。
書物などで琉球時代から今までを調べたり、自然と共に生きる様を私も生活に取り入れようと思ったり、魅力され続けています。

勉強すればするほど、歴史を知るほどに、沖縄戦の悲惨さに心が痛みます。私のような部外者でさえこんなに痛むのに、当事者の皆様はどうやって正気を保ったのか、想像もできません。

何があっても、戦争反対です。
沖縄に限らず、地球上に存在している素晴らしい自然を、生きている人々の尊い命を、大切にしていきたいです。


Ever since I met Okinawa culture, I always want to become a part of it.
I studied Okinawa since its Ryukyu-era,I’m trying to add the spirit of Nature-worship…as if I’m enchanted by the culture of Okinawa.

The more I study about the battle of Okinawa and its history, the more my heart hurts. Even I ; a person who has no roots in Okinawa, feel like my heart tear into pieces. I can’t even imagine how Okinawa people stayed sane.

I am against war no matter what.
I want to respect all the natures that exist on this earth, and precious lives of living people.

How far, or perhaps how close, are the endemic leopard cats to life and death? This time, “Orphans of the Earth” joins three orphaned baby leopard cats and records how they have been looked after, trained and released back to the wilds. Spanning over two years for shooting, this documentary also follows the first-ever release and track project of leopard cats in the history of animal conservation efforts in Taiwan. When Duyan the leopard cat fell to death in a well, we were there with the conservation experts, climbing up and down in the difficult paths and picking the bones of leopard cats. The life and death of leopard cats would instantly take us into the cruel world of leopard cats.

The documentary team also joined the latest research project on roadkill leopards, which were dissected, and parasites carefully examined; we also followed up with the cash incentive program of “leopard cat friendly farms”. With this documentary, it is our hope to enhance deeper understanding, compassion and eventually more conservation efforts for leopard cats, the only surviving feline species native to Taiwan. When the habitats are degraded and threats emerge as roadkill, canine-kill, poisons and illegal hunting, the leopard cats are pushed back to crueler survival games when they are released into the wild. It’s estimated by experts that this last native feline specie might disappear in Taiwan within 20 years.
