My best of 2017 is moving into our new home and making it a place filled with happy memories, a place that celebrates milestones and my kids' growing up, a place that bonds our family and strengthens our ties.

Yup, a house is but a house, it's the presence of love, kinship and friendship that transforms it into a happy home and one that is filled with joy and precious memories at every corner. I will never have a perfectly clean house (and we don't intend to get a helper ever) and we have learnt to live with messes, dirty laundry and undone dishes, but we will always remember the happy times we spent with our loved ones here and be thankful for having these people in our lives.

I'm thankful for having parents and in-laws who get along amazingly well and love to drink and karaoke together, for having siblings (and siblings-in-law) for being supportive and always showering our kids with love, for the kids to have cousins who dote on them, teach them and love them, for my grandma who still makes an effort to come out with us and for all the memories she gave me as a child, for a hubby who might not always be home but when he is, he is the most hands-on person, most awesome dad, great chef and best companion I could ever ask for. You people are the reason why life is so beautiful and awesome!

2017 has been an awesome year of gatherings and celebrations with our loved ones in our humble home, especially in Dec where we had parties every weekend (to the extent that I decided not to clean up too much because the house would get dirty and messy again very soon, haha). We look forward to making even more memories in 2018! Happy New Year, everyone!

P.S. On a side note, the last month has been a quiet one on the blog because well, there are just so many things I can do at a time. While I don't intend to give up blogging, I do hope to re-focus on my priorities in life and since family is always going to take first place, I will have to remind myself to cherish what truly matters and learn to let go of what doesn't.

A lovely walk in the treehouse and the kids just couldn't bear to leave. We were at the hubby's alma mater during the weekend and it was a nostalgic morning as he caught up with some long lost friends.

It might not be my alma mater, which anyway is just located nearby, but the experience still brought back so much memories of college and all the good old, crazy fun times we had. Yup, when we were still youths. Time has wings and the next time I look back, my kids will be the ones in their teenage years, falling in love and partying hard. So here's a reminder to myself to cherish their growing up years and the time where "Mama" is still heard 100 times a day.

Happy Youth Day, people! P.S. We spent our Sunday at the water playground followed by dinner and karaoke with our friends (all with kids) till 11pm. Last Friday, after doing the media PR events day at Amari Hotel Jb for the finale of @theapartmenttv . we wanted to look for a bar as we were new in town. So I googled, "bar in Johor". And just Uber-ed to the first result - without googling further. What happened when we arrived was there's an uncle on the mic singing some slow canto-love songs on the stage - oops. 🤔🙄 Not a exactly the scene we had in mind. So, we wanted to switch it up and @lukinski8 suggested let's rock to Bon Jovi - but the karaoke didn't have it. Instead, we picked a song by the #BackSideBoys 😂 #fuggit #90sboyBand #LOL This was also a feel good song we sang a lot before entering a solemn and grim mood of the elimination room.

If the photos can carry n load all the love we have and have all the beautiful moments on pieces of thin photographic printing papers (it is still really romantic to develop the photographs from the film), as you put my photos in your pocket, just like having everything of me, including past and present and all my love.
Whatever heartbreaking moments we may have, we are still allowed to stay close to each other and look at the other's eyes via photographs.
