Describe a science subject that you studied and liked.

When I read the cue card, the first thing springing to mind was Physics. It was a mandatory subject in secondary school and I was instantly impressed by such a great subject in the very first lesson. It basically involved both theoretical lessons and practical ones. We studied theories in the classroom and then carried out experiments in the laboratory.
I still vividly remember our Physics teacher - Mrs Thanh - a patient, understanding and knowledgeable teacher. Her competence in teaching Physics was undisputed and her unique teaching method made learning the subject a piece of cake.
Learning Physics, I’ve gained an insight into some aspects of science. I realized that everything happened for a reason. Thanks to Physics, I could explain some common phenomena, such as the formation of a storm or why lightning always comes before the advent of a thunder’s sound.
Physics develops my logical thinking. I have always been conscious of the consequences of an action. For instance, when I have to be faced with a dilemma such as choosing the right university, I think twice and take account of all the criteria like school prestige, facilities, majors and my strengths and weaknesses before making up my mind.
You may think it has nothing to do with Physics but to me, it’s the outcome of learning Physics by which I have my logical thinking sharpened. That’s why I like Physics a great deal.
