Goodbye TVB 👋🏻
4 years ago, I left the familiar world I grew up in (my family, my friends, my job, my home...etc) 🇨🇦 to explore the unknown entertainment world in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 It was a big deal to quit my permanent teaching job, which many people wished for, said I was fortunate to have (and some thought it wasn't a good idea to resign from).
During these few years working in the Chinese entertainment industry as a TVB Artiste, I have gained so much experience, learned more about myself & the realities of this world, and even met a bunch awesome (and some not quite so awesome) people along the way, but it became clear to me that it was time to move on.
Do I regret quitting my stable job to move to HK? Nope.
If I could go back in time, would I still choose this path? Yup.
What am I planning to do? Focus on myself and people around me. Spend time working on my music 🎵, my math education content @mrfchung 👨🏻🏫, becoming Magnus Bane 🔮, workout more 💪🏻, train up on a number of areas of my life...etc. For now, the direction will shift from traditional media to content creator/online educator and hopefully explore the English entertainment world after a bit.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, been there for me, taught me, gave me opportunities, helped me and even those who tried to bring me down or betrayed my trust, because all of you helped shape me to be the person I am today.
I wish I could say a proper goodbye, and I will visit when it feels safer to do so, but for now, this is my farewell. #untilnexttime
YouTube 🙏🏻😊 #thankyou

Reebok has established itself as a leader in footwear innovation and technology through decades of industry invention and continues to challenge convention today by transcending the line between style and performance.
The Reebok prototype silhouette within this collection is the brand’s latest innovation; a custom upper from Angus Chiang on an all new ‘energy return’ sole. The unification and creative energy behind this collaboration subverts the traditional spectrum of style that pits fashion and human performance at opposite ends – this prototype shows what bold creative energy and inspiration can achieve. The silhouette will continue to evolve ahead of future release.🏃🏃♀️
Besides, we also designed the socks in two different clear colours and added the funny music-related images, breathing new life into the sports socks.
Thank you so much!!! Reebok😘

Rob Swift
最後他跟Mista Sinista要復出以Da Odd Couple(主辦還是寫X戰警,因為比較知名,但近來另兩名舊成員沒一起活動也是讓外人看的很爭議)名義做雙人唱盤主義玩法做巡迴演出。
"Turntablism" in the traditional sense of the word has seen better days. Witnessing authentic turntable artistry live, in person, has been reduced to a 60 second long instagram/facebook post that's recorded from a DJ's bedroom. For remaining fans of the art to experience this specific genre of DJing live, they have to wait a full year for a competition like the #DMC or #RedBull3Style to PROBABLY come to their city.
Some might argue the age demographic of up and coming "Tablists" like Rena, Kool Flash and Olivia contradicts the notion that "Turntablism" is dying. But the truth of it is, unless "Tablists" and promoters figure out ways to work together with the intent of presenting events (not just DJ battles) that will inspire music fans to leave the comfort of their homes to attend, "Turntablism" will die! Perhaps death is the best thing that could happen to #Turntablism though.
The video you're watching was filmed in 1997. During what many coin the "Golden Era" of "Turntablism". Z Trip, DJ Quest (Bullet Proof Skrach Hamsters), D Styles (Invisibl Skratch Piklz), and Roc4Raida, Mista Sinista and myself (X-men) were booked on the same bill that night. We sold out a performance theatre in downtown Seattle. Events like this were taking place on a monthly basis all over the country despite the trend by rappers to replace Djs with Instant Replay machines at their concerts. Industry always kills the artist. We saw it go down back then, and y'all are seeing the same scenario play itself out in the present.
What's interesting is the disconnect that was created between Turntablism and Hip Hop leading up to the filming of this video facilitated the perfect environment for us to redefine the craft of DJing and ourselves as artists. In doing, so we shaped an entirely new fan base.
The X did their part to contribute to the resurgence of DJ art back in the 90s and in this new millennial summer we're taking on the responsibility of resuscitating "Turntablism" once again.
Check out @daoddcouple (Mista Sinista and DJ Rob Swift of the X-Ecutioners) live in concert this summer!

The Busan Tourism Industry flew me and many other content creators over and provided accommodations and most foods. They didn't pay me to produce this video. I paid for extra meals and additional transportation that were not apart of the media tour. My opinions and content are entirely my own.

traditional music industry 在 Yuna - (Not) The Love Of My Life Youtube 的評價
My new album ROUGE is out now! https://Yuna.lnk.to/RougeID
Not The Love of My Life tells a story of a bride in the midst of getting ready for her wedding but is second guessing her decision to settle down. I went back to Malaysia and wanted to collaborate again with my friend and traditional Indian choreographer Harshini Sukumaran whom I’ve worked with in the Forevermore music video. I was also blessed to have collaborated with other talents and business owners, who live and breathe within the Indian wedding industry, as they help me breathe so much beauty and insight in what we were creating.
Back home we all partake in each other’s culture in a very loving and respectful way which I feel is very unique.. and in NTLOML I was very blessed to be able to share that part of my life with the world. I’m not the main star of this video, they are. I’m so happy that I got the opportunity to direct my first music video, but it would not be possible without the consultation, support, and most importantly, love from the Malaysian Indian community.
xx Yuna
Lyrics
Been holding on these years
It’s been a sweep, these tears
Stayin’ to know what love is
You wanna move so fast
But I know we won’t last
Gotta let go of all the memories
You may be hurtin’ now
But once you understand why we can’t hold it out
Goin’ shed a new skin, babe
You say just hang around
Just give me some time
Give me some time
To find my way
But baby I know
Our love is broken
My heart is frozen
You’re not the love of my life
Our love our moments
Let me compose it
You’re not the love of my life

Chinese parks are quite a different sort of experience, other than being a place for people to try and sell off their sons and daughters for marriage to other families, it's the only place people are really able to go out and practice their kung fu, dancing, singing, musical instruments etc. Of course there are the regular activities such as having a picnic, hiking and playing sports (as well as some boating and fishing) available as well. Come and join Sasha and I as we get the low down on how Chinese parks work.
The primary goal of attending the marriage market is for parents to find a suitable partner for their child. The standards of finding the right match may be based upon (but not limited to) age, height, job, income, education, family values, Chinese zodiac sign, and personality. All of this information is written on a piece of paper, which is then hung upon long strings among other parents' advertisements for their children. The parents walk around chatting with other parents to see if there is a harmonious fit only after their children's standards are met.
Umbrellas used for advertising
Many parents do not have permission from their child to go to this event. It has been described as "match.com meets farmers' market" with a low success rate. In many parents' eyes, parent matchmaking gatherings such as the Marriage Market are the only way to uphold a traditional dating style for their children in modern China. China's long idealized tradition of continuing their family lineage is very important within Chinese culture. As the children of the One Child Policy start to become of typical marriage age, the so-called marriage "market" of China has wavered in stability, particularly for males in China. The University of Kent predicts that by the year 2020, 24 million men will be unmarried and unable to find a wife.
Recently, well-educated women in China with established careers are in less of a hurry to get married. They have more options than women in past generations and are not afraid to put their career first. This change in marriage ideology puts the women in a higher position of power within a traditionally male-dominated society. Now more women seek to find a responsible man with personal integrity instead of just a high paying job.
Many men's standards have changed with the progression of women's status in the work industry as well, they expect a woman that has been educated and well on her way to a career path. But what has drastically changed is the older generations viewpoint on the subject—they agree with the younger generation, with the two most important qualities in a wife being "elegance and a decent career path," quite a change from "diligence and the willingness to suffer the burden of life".
