For the burgers lover, their hearty burger ($9.90) series
- Avocado burger with grilled salmon patty topped with a luxurious serving of avocado. My eldest favorite because she's a vegetable lover.
- Korean spicy burger, with grilled salmon patty and traditional gochujang.
- Curry burger, with thick turmeric sauce and spiciness perfect for those who loves curry. This is my hubby's favorite.
As for me, a seafood and sashimi lover, their Hearty Pokey in Bibimbab style ($10.90-$18.90) is my favorite!

We miss Penang food. So today we will bring you to Pulau Penang. But because Max doesn't eat fish and Dirk is on a vegan diet, so vegetarian then!
You will need to prepare mushroom broth as the base. I didnt have mushrooms, so I did not show u in the video. You can grind the mushroom to add thickness to the soup! Also I had too little chili in the soup. Be Brave, add more!
Ingredients for 4 to 5 servings :
For the actual Laksa paste -
. 5 fresh chillies if u like it spicy
. 12 shallots
. 2 stalks lemongrass
. 4 cloves garlic
. 1 small piece turmeric around 3cm size
. 1 small piece of fresh peeled galangal (or ginger) 4 to 5cm size
. 1 tablespoon vegan shrimp paste (or miso)
- Blend all that into a paste, then saute in hot oil for 8 to 10mins -
For The BROTH :
. 6 to 7 cups of water or Mushroom broth
. around 6 pieces of Asam Keping or tamarind paste 3 tbsp. brown sugar
. salt for tasting
. 1 tbsp soy sauce
. one or more rolls of cut vegetarian fish
- Boil all together with the sauteed paste -
For Garnishing:
. Daun kesum leaves/ asam leaves
. Fresh mint. thin sliced ginger flower and lemon grass
. Chopped or sliced pineapple
. Finely sliced red onions
. Vegetarian shrimp paste for tasting
. some cut lime . you can also add thin slices of lettuce
Last but not least, the Laksa noodles or thick vermicelli/Bihun noodles.

For this video, we headed down to Mischief at Esplanade to complete a 5KG Viking Meat Platter! With the recently released Assassin Creed Valhalla, we were inspired to find and devour a Viking-themed platter, and Mischief generously offered us their food with a bit of customisation. Mischief is a bar/restaurant located at the Esplanade that serves American-Asian fusion food that you can pair with a large variety of alcoholic beverages.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla attempts to be historically authentic, immersing you into the 9th Century Viking experience as a raider in England. Together with the classic features of the Assassin’s Creed series such as stealth and assassinations, you will find yourself building your clan and amassing resources as a conqueror in a realm ripe with wealth for the taking.

For this 5KG Viking Platter, we had to make do with what was available at Mischief while trying to Viking-ise the platter as possible. We added BBQ Baby Back Pork Ribs, Sliced Beef Brisket, Angus Beef Short Ribs, Pork Sausages, Smoked Salmon and a whole BBQ Chicken for the protein. Then for some diversity and colour, we placed Garlic Bread, Green and Red Grapes, Sauerkraut, Grilled Corn and Cherry Tomatoes onto the Viking Platter. The result - a beautifully vibrant plate of food fit for a Viking King.
In line with the Viking-theme, I dressed up in a fur-clad Viking suit to complete this challenge, but it became too hot so I had to remove part of the outfit. The food was delicious, especially the Beef Brisket and BBQ Chicken. The Asian-American fusion came through stunningly, with the chicken being slightly sweet and very moist with notes of turmeric and other Asian spices. The Brisket was extremely tender with a deep “meaty” flavour that can only come from hours of slow-cooking to concentrate the flavour. I completed the Viking Platter with little difficulty other than the sweltering heat.

Turmeric, the “saffron” that has been used by Indian for 4,000 year, is well known for its anti-inflammatory function. This golden spice contains an active component, curcumin, which is also believed to have immune-boosting property. You may wonder how you can incorporate turmeric in your diet and here is one of ways, curry!! You can also sprinkle turmeric when making scrambled egg, rice, soup or even to milk.
Tumeric Curry Plant Chicken
Recipe for 2 portions
Ingredients:
Heura plant chicken half pack
Onion (sliced) half pc
Asparagus (chopped) half cup
Baby corn (chopped) half cup
Egg plant (chopped) half pc
Blue Elephant yellow curry sauce half pack
Califia Farms Barista Blend Oat Milk 1 cup
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Fresh chilli (diced) to taste
1. Heat oil in a pan, pan-fry plant-based chicken until both sides turn golden brown. Set aside.
2. Stir-fry asparagus, baby corn and eggplant until soften. Set aside.
3. Stir-fry onion until soften, add yellow curry sauce, oat milk and turmeric powder. Mix well.
4. Add veggies and plant chicken back to the sauce and cook until the sauce boils. Serve and sprinkle fresh chilli.

黃薑咖哩植物雞
二人份量
Heura植物雞 半盒
洋蔥(切絲)半個
露筍(切段)半碗
茄子(切段)半條
粟米筍 (切段)半碗
藍象黃咖喱醬 半包
Califia Farms 專業沖調用燕麥奶 1杯
黃薑粉 1/4茶匙
新鮮辣椒(切粒)適量
1. 熱鑊下油,先將植物雞兩面煎至金黃色,盛起備用
2. 把露筍、粟米筍和茄子下鑊略炒至軟身,盛起備用
3. 將洋蔥炒至軟身,加入黃咖哩醬、燕麥奶和黃薑粉後拌勻
4. 加入先前炒好的蔬菜和植物雞,待咖哩汁煮滾後便可上碟,最後可灑上辣椒
