The statue of Queen Victoria can be found at the entrance of the Victoria Park Soccer Pitch. Here are the facts about the Queen Victoria statue:⁣

1. It was cast in Pimlico, London.⁣
2. It was originally located at the centre of Statue Square, Central. ⁣
3. It was unveiled on 28 May 1896, the day officially appointed for the celebration of the 77th birthday of the Queen. ⁣
4. During World War II, the statue was taken to Japan to be melted down. ⁣
5. The statue was brought back to Hong Kong, and was placed in Victoria Park since 1952. ⁣
6. It was said that there had been a misunderstanding with the sculptor regarding which material to use at the time. A decision in favour of marble had been lost in communication. ⁣
