Escape All These Things
““So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly. For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth. Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”” (Luke 21:34-36 WEB)
There will come a day where we will suddenly be transformed within the twinkling of an eye, and snatched up to meet Jesus in the air. It will happen all over the worldwide within a split second, and everyone left behind will have to deal with the ensuing chaos and confusion.
If that day catches you by surprise, it means that you were too focused on the cares of this life that you were actually surprised when the Rapture happened.
“NOOO! I have not completed ____ yet! I cannot leave now!” If anything fills that blank, it has probably replaced Jesus as the chief focus in your heart.
The Rapture will be like a snare to the unsuspecting unbelievers of the world, like when one steps on a pitfall trap and the whole structure simultaneously collapses under its weight.
However, to believers who are watching the end-times signs that point to the closeness of the Lord Jesus’ return, they will not be caught off guard. They will be like the watchful father in Jesus’ parable, who saw the son returning while he was still far off.
Notice how Jesus revealed that God’s will is for us to “escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man”?
Many Christians still don’t believe in a pre-Tribulation Rapture. They think that they will be going through the Tribulation. But we know that we will ESCAPE all these things. There will be a great escape to bring the saints safely to Heaven first, before the worst befalls the unbelieving world.
“Abraham came near, and said, “Will you consume the righteous with the wicked? What if there are fifty righteous within the city? Will you consume and not spare the place for the fifty righteous who are in it? Be it far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be like the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn’t the Judge of all the earth do right?” Yahweh said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare the whole place for their sake.”” (Genesis 18:23-26 WEB)
Abraham knew that God as a righteous Judge would not punish the righteous with the wicked. If there are any righteous ones in the world, the Tribulation and the following bowls, trumpets, and vials of God’s wrath would not begin. This is why there must be a pre-Tribulation Rapture, to remove the righteous ones before judgment begins.
God waited until Noah and his family entered the ark before sending the flood. He waited until Lot left the city before raining fire onto Sodom and Gomorrah. Finally, He made a distinction between the children of Israel and the children of Egypt during the plagues. Seeing these, we know that God will bring the saints to Heaven first before the Tribulation begins.
It could happen any time now. We see that the infrastructure of the Antichrist’s regime is almost in place. Look up, for your redemption draws near!
