World-renowned German director Werner Herz shared a few selected words in the his master class:
1. When you look at the camera, feel like death is staring at you
2. I don’t use storyboards to tell stories. I think this is a tool for coward
3. Working with actors and in acting are a chemistry for me to understand the world
4. Don't look at the camera when you are holding it, look through the camera
5. Don't pay too much money and spend too much time in school. You can start shooting directly and learn film making after two weeks
6. When I saw a lot of students came to me and said, "I took 450 hours of shooting “ my heart sank, I tell them. “We are not garbage collector! We are film maker!”
In fact, when I watched the director Werner's sharing, especially on his comments on the last sentence. In this era of flooded information, every day, we blindly absorb tons of knowledge, information, and advertisements. Many people became information junkie or seminar junkie, going after courses and courses. Some of that bough a bunch of bundle e-learning courses online during holiday sales in a discount, but never really learn it. Some bought many books even haven’t have a chance to unwrap it but just put it a side and let times forget everything.
If we were to explain this in psychological effect, this is a human’s desire that wanting more, and thinking that more is always good, and they are cheating their brain that they thought consume more information product can help them become more knowledgeable, smarter.
While in the soule level, this is just a way of feeding ones ego. Is an illusion of having more can make someone more powerful and special.
In reality, to really learn any skill, what you need is [FOCUS]. Focus on doing one thing well, doing it deep and thoroughly, understanding and master it, and finish it. When after you mastered it, then only start a new learning. Just like a book, never bought a second book until you finish the first one.
Now, does this sound familiar to you? Is this some habitual pattern that you lost down and remind yourself to improve in the new year?
Let’s work on this together 😎

Assalamualaikum & good morning, beautiful followers. How many of you are still enjoying your long holiday this week? My college is closed for this whole week and we will resume by Monday. With that, i have the whole week to spend with my mom at home while working on some new recipes for the new Philips Soya Milk Maker & Pressure Cooker to be launched soon.
Yesteday i invited some great friends over for a potluck lunch at home and we had some much food and fun. I made a pasta bake with crumbled feta cheese & ratatouille and for dessert, we had bubur kacang with santan soya- a healthier version. My friends brought over roast chicken, rojak buah, goreng pisang, Royce truffle, etc. Seronoknya bersembang sampai Maghrib. Selesai solat, we sambung kat mamak pulak. It was a very nice day we've had :-).
Hari ni masih di rumah, so I decided to test my new maid's cooking nasi uduk with basmathi (Pusa). Still using the new santan soya by Soy Master, sambal ikan bilis, telur rebus, ayam panggang berempah, keropok ikan Terengganu and of course berulamkan timun segar. Let see how she fares :-).
What are you guys cooking?
